Unusual Pet
A lonely guy decided life would be more fun if he had a pet. So he went to the pet store and told the owner he wanted to buy an unusual animal. After some discussion, he finally bought a centipede, which came in a little white box to use for his house. He took the box back home, found a good location for it, and decided he would start off by taking his new pet to the bar to have a drink. So he asked the centipede in the box, Would y...

My boss and Engelbert Humberdinck
I'm currently driving for my ex boss's airport transportation company until I get a local trucking job. He just called me with a very unusual story. He said that while he was driving in Naples, here in Florida, that a security guard called him on his cell phone asking my boss how much time they needed for a trip to the airport, for a pr...

are we preparing to go to war with iran?
At a time when the war in Iraq is as unpopular as ever and Congress is searching for ways to turn back President Bush's 21,500-troop surge, tensions with neighboring Iran have escalated. Bush recently told NPR that if Iran escalates its military action in Iraq to the detriment of our troops and/or innocent Iraqi people, we will respond firmly. Though the president has made pains to say that the heated rhetoric is not a means of laying the groundwor...

"Why We Will Win the War on Terror
The timeline stated at the bottom of this article is around the same as I've read predicted elsewhere. Candles and Quintiles
Please read the following and join us on October 27th, 2004, in creating "CANDLES ACROSS AMERICA" to Light the way for the 2004 Presidential Election. This is a vitally important time for America. Some of us have felt paralyzed, as if there is little we can do as individuals beyond campaigning and voting. But we can do more. One person can make a difference. Think of Rosa Parks, Gandhi, Winston Churchill, or your own personal hero. The Light...

Logical Fallacies are on the rise too.
Especially among the uneducated. A person has to be really stupid to suggest someone is thin skinned because they pointed out a rule that apparently either means nothing or is not being enforced. But hey we're talking about the people that can't stop talking about widespread election fraud with no proof. The logical fallacies I'm talking about are the very dangerous claims being made about getting a covid vaccinations. The FDA told the CDC to create the...

Don't be fooled by the warmer weather.
It's just enough to make you think spring has sprung. The Blizzards of 1888 and 1899 show us how deceiving this can be: Schoolhouse Blizzard of 1888 North American Great Plains. January 12 13, 1888. What made the storm so deadly was the timing (during work and school hours), the suddenness, and the brief spell of...

Very Strange Day Yesterday.
To start, going in to work it was foggy. We're out in open farm areas with some hills. The fog was low, but dense in spots. Driving through it felt like I was in the clouds. Then I get a call up in The Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul). Driving up there I could see off in the North-West rain clouds. However, where I was on the highway south of The Cities, it was mostly sunny. The unusual part is, it was raining in near full sun...
