Just curious on the MM/PB jackpots
Perhaps I wasn't paying attention or missed the article/announcement. When did the PB and MM jackpots start going up to an 80% ratio of Annuity to cash value ? Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?
If you watch the jackpot game drawings being streamed via the Internet you can't help but realize that the broadcast has to be completed in a certain amount of time. I think it's 3 minutes. Also, regular viewing will reveal that sometimes the delay between ball selection is longer than average. When this happens, the Mega Millions folks will declare a malfunction and stop the broadcast because it can't be completed in the allotted time. However, the drawing continues behind the scenes.

New Pick2 and Pick5 coming to Florida
I noticed on the FL Lottery promo video announcement that they accurately state that Pick 3 and Pick 4 play the same way as Cash 3 and Cash 4, but it failed to mention that the numbers are NOT DRAWN THE SAME WAY AS BEFORE. If you watch the drawings, Pick 3 is now drawn along with Pick 2 and the numbers are not drawn in consecutive order according to position like they were in Cash 3/Play 4 before August 1st, 2016. Pick 2 and Pick 3 are now drawn together as a set of 5 numbers in random ord

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
If a company is JUST trying to make profits for its shareholders it will ultimately fail. There are MANY other reasons a company exists. Yes profits keep a company going but I like this example BETTER as its is a 'positive' way to increase production-- The $5-a-day Workday After the success of the moving assembly line, Henry Ford had another transformative idea: in January 1914, he startled the world by announcing that Ford Motor Company would pay $5 a day to its workers. The pay increase

New pick 7 daily game in Texas
The Texas lottery is seeking comments for a new daily draw game, Texas Triple Chance. To win a $100,000 prize, players must correctly match 7 of 55 numbers. For $2 fee, players can choose one set, personal or quick pick. Players then get two additional sets generated by the lottery terminal, for 3 total combinations per ticket. The lottery will draw 10 numbers from a field of 55 numbers. Matching 6 numbers pays $500, match 5 pays $25, match 4 pays $5, match 3 pays $2. Drawings

The 2012 Lottery Results Almanac is coming soon!
I have been hard at work these past few weeks putting together the 2012 editions of the Lottery Results Almanac series. It is an incredibly massive chunk of work that needs to be crammed into the first few weeks of each year, because the book can't be assembled until all the results from the past year have been drawn. Each year there are more than 80,000 different lottery drawings, so there is a mind-bending amount of verification that all the results are there ... and accurate. There are lot

Texas State Lottery Q&A from one of their associates
Interesting, but they are still a bit vague on their answers. I wonder why they did not answer completely. What is the big secret? So, considering this answer: 2. If a prize is claimed through a trust, all members of the trust must be listed and are subject to Open Records. If you used a trust, LLC, or LFP (or any other legal entity) to form a trust/legal entity to claim a lottery prize, does it end there, or does the trust/entity member of the claiming trust have to be listed? Basic

Due to Budget Cuts-California Lottery District Office closed on Fridays
Have to wait 6 weeks in PA for anything BIG, BIG. A couple days doesn't make a difference. Unless it makes you feel better to know it's *in the process* even though it hasn't reached headquarters yet. On another note: PA is up to something. First time for me seeing an announcement that all funds will still be paid out of SO SO...(whatever the department is) I mean...who asked?
