How do you claim a $267,000,000 prize?
Sure, that's the obvious thing to do once you have a winning ticket...
What's for sure, though, I am not going to hire an attorney just
to find out.... beforehand.
I would like to learn more about this, and I'm sure most of those
reading this post feel the same way. I think it would be nice if
someone knowledgeable were to share this type of info here.
I just read an interesting news story mentioning that the lucky one
from Lyons, Ohio went about claiming his prize ($270M) by set

getting back to an old topic RNG controlled
lottobrain, very glad to read your perspective!
Regarding your sentence, Suppose that they had found a way to actually program daily numbers into the RNG program to come out on specific days... , Eddie Tipton did that, and it's extremely well documented at Lottery Post. He did that on computers like the ones you described in Delaware. They all claim to be not connected to the internet, but that does not stop an insider.
Here is the complete timeline of news stories documented at Lottery

Anonymous / Non anonymous states
There's a lot of talk here on LP about hiring financial planners, CPAs, lawyers.......
Yes, and....?
Several books about coming into some serious money suggest the person who gets it should get Kidnap and Ransom insurance
I haven't read these unnamed books, but from your short synopsis of them I'd say they were being overly alarmist if not melodramatic. As far as I know, there have been just three lottery-related kidnappings and subsequent deaths; the Thorne child in Australia, the B

A BLIND TRUST to claim anonymously?
This inquiry started in the thread "How do you claim a $267,000,000 prize?"
but I'm moving it under a topic more likely to attract the attention of those
specifically interested in this subject.
In that thread I inquired about smart ways to claim your jackpot winnings
that would allow one to preserve anonymity, minimize taxes and maximize
protection... Unfortunately, all replies there were just cheap and unhelpful
comments, really. I was surprised when I later got a wealth of info afte

Best jackpot advice yet
We were watching TLC last night when they showed the lottery programs.
When David Edwards came on my wife said he sounded likedecent guy. I told her people on LP said he was just like Jack Whitaker. She asked why so I looked on the net (couldn't remember exactly what he had done) and found this.
Considering all our threads here about What would you do if you won $ _ _ _ million , this is well worth reading (my bolding, article on blue background):
David Edwards, another lottery loser

What would you do if you had the winning lottery ticket BUT.
First of all, let me introduce myself,
My Name's Viceroy, I have been trying to work on this problem for about a month now.... and I'm going to post it to you, to see what you have to say, I am looking forward to hearing any comments, or suggestions, and I hope that there is someone on this board with maybe a little knowldge as to a certain part of the subject matter that I am trying to convey....
Anyway, Here goes.
Let's say for instance you bought what turned out to be the WINNING PO

Setting a trust for anonymity: how does it work?
Sorry about the delay in replying... a couple of days ago I had posted a couple of links to some news stories (about what generally happens to large jackpot lottery winners) in my message and my account was suspended on suspicion of spamming... Anyhow, thanks to Todd and his gracefulness, I'm online again...
Thank you so much, joshuacloack, for taking the time to contribute here your wisdom... it is very much appreciated. The problem with setting two trusts, IMHO, with the second one being a
