LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #4
If you could only play one lottery game for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?
My favorite game was the Florida 5/26 because by the time it had ended I'd figured out how to beat it by playing all the previous winning combinations. Game had enough 4 and 5 combinations that hit again to make it worth playing that way until the cost started to push the $25,000 grand prize. While the game has ended, any game can be canceled or revived at any time.

Mega Millions and Powerball
Eventually power ball will be the national lottery with Mega Millions breaking up. It will be replaced by several Regional multi state lotteries. For example Texas, Florida, and California will have their own multi state and then the next 10 largest states will pool into their own multi state with the rest of the states having their own multi state lottery.

Why do so many in CA win powerball?
Indiana has the most powerball winners because it's an original member of powerball since 1990. California didn't join powerball until 2013.
I can't remember the last time Indiana won a powerball but a comparison for a 100M jackpot this year. Indiana sold $263,774 whereas California sold $2,200,628 in tickets. Florida sold $1,557,906 and North Dakota sold $27,106.
Think of each state as a person. The person that consistently buys A LOT more tickets is going to win more often.

Is this true?
A computer glitch caused a delay in the live TV broadcast of a Powerball drawing on July 2, 2008. This occurred around the same time that Jeffrey Epstein's Zorro Trust claimed an $85 million Powerball win from a ticket purchased in Oklahoma, sparking suspicions of fraud, according to Grok on X. While the timing and secrecy fueled speculation, no direct evidence of rigging or fraud has been found to date.
The Powerball drawing was eventually held, revealing a single winning ticket sold in Al

Why do some people call this gambling?
Alright, whatever floats your boat buddy.
Kudos!
I love it when it rains here in South Florida.
Especially when the sun is not beaming.

2026's Leading PowerBall Red Ball Number
Tique, thanks for The Double Play analysis. I usually don't buy the double play option so I don't pay much attention to it's stats. Maybe I should.
Based on what you posted above, it looks to me like number 5 is the Red Ball in Double Play to play for the balance of 2026.
Just like in Take5 and Florida Fantasy5, the number with the most hits on June 30th usually ends the year as the biggest hitter. I've seen that happen in many different years. For PB the Biggest Red Ball hitter in 2024

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Naaaah...
What you very likely saw was computer generated graphics splashed up on your TV screen by a TV station, not the actual computer running RNG software that spit out the PowerPlay multiplier or whatever online game they were televising.
I can see that video now...
Good evening lottery fans. LIVE from a server rack located on The Florida Lottery's raised floor in Tallahassee you're looking at an IBM Power10 PC running Linux 7.0.12 which just spit out tonights PowerPlay multiple

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I've rethought my ticket buying strategy..... I decided to buy one raffle ticket per week in June. I'm gambling that there wont be a ticket buying frenzy during June. If there is a frenzy, no harm done. If there isn't one, I figured I'd be better off with more tickets in my hand than not.
I stopped in a RaceTrack today and bought ticket number 2984XX. BTW I was shocked when I ordered one Florida Millionaire Raffle ticket and the clerk responded with You want MegaMillions? She had never sold

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Glad I'm keeping an eye on this thread.....
For some reason, I thought the drawing for June 1st was TONIGHT, and was planning on checking my tickets via the Florida Lottery App on my iPhone tomorrow morning. But when I saw you guys each won $100, I checked my tickets. Not a winner so far for each and every one of them.
Had I won a $100, I'd buy 5 more tickets with that money!!!! No such luck. I might buy one more ticket this week, and one more late in June.
Congrats to both of you.

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
It's a fair point that many law firms don't represent a lot of big lottery winners. Some law firms aren't interested in accepting a big winning lottery client simply because the revenue stream for them to represent big winners is weak. Those firms will most likely refer out a potential client to another firm. They also understand that they won't get a lot of referrals to their law firm from previous big lottery winners.
Kurt Panouses understands all of the above, which is why his firm accep
