Lottery is not random it's predetermined
??? Why would there be seasonality for the weather inside the draw room? Have you seen something that proves that the temperature or barometric pressure or isobars and isotherms have no impact on the draw? What about humidity or the electric/ electrostatic variables (in the drawing room) have you seen something that proves they don't impact ball drawings? What about the small variations in gravity where the machine is placed? What about oscillations and vibrations in the building or

Lucky For Life to Millionaire For Life - $5 Ticket
The difference between Lucky for Life $2 and Millionaire for Life $5 is nothing like the difference between old MM $2 and new MM $5. New MM $5 is a horrible game. It's not just the price of $5, it's what you get for that five bucks. Lucky for Life $2 has a 1 in 30 million chance of winning the top prize. Millionaire for Life improves that to 1 in 23 million. The ticket costs 2.5 times as much but the top prize is more than 2.5 times as much... 2.74 times as much as an annuity, or 3.13 ti

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Since the race began when Mega Millions ticket prices were raised to $5, the Powerball jackpot reached about $1.8 billion twice. Whereas, Mega Millions reached just shy of $1 billion only once. What exactly is the race ? If we're talking about bang for the buck(s) PB's cheaper price usually makes it the better bet, but at any given moment the jackpot divided by the ticket cost is as close as there is to a sensible metric for deciding which game to play. Right now MM's chance at $138 million

Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
Lotto Texas uses a mechanical ball drawing machine to select winning numbers, not a computer-based Random Number Generator (RNG) for the actual draw itself. All major Texas Lottery drawings are audited by independent accounting firms to ensure integrity and randomness . The whole process before an official draw is to pretest each balls 6 times. And what they look for is for the balls not to repeat the same numbers 6 times in a row. If it doesn't, it passed the test and preppe

Powerball
Yesterday I saw something at a local supermarket's customer service counter that caught my eye. It was a PowerBall ticket lying underneath a big sheet of clear plastic that was covering some scratch off tickets. Someone had placed a small piece of paper beside the ticket with handwritten words that said Please buy me along with an arrow pointing at the ticket. The total cost of the ticket was $390. I know it was an advance play ticket because it had a date range of a few days ago out to

Powerball
I'd be plenty PO'd at myself too. For just one lousy dollar bill more, I could have had two million. I don't wanna be that guy. Then there's this too - When I play PB, I play three identical lines of five numbers. Each line on my ticket will have a different PB (Red Ball) number. The pay out would be six million minus the taxes if I hit only all five white ball numbers. If I happened to have matched the PB too, I'd win the jackpot with the other two lines kicking in an additional 4 million.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
What matters is their profit margin. It really does seem like a lot of people just can't figure that out. After millions of people threw away $5 on the new game format, I wonder how many of them will come back for more punishment Most of them, I'd imagine. They're only doing it $2 at a time, but about twice as many people keep on doing it with PB tickets. Hopefully the folks at PB are reading this and will not follow suit and destroy their game as well. Maybe the folks at

Encounters in the wild
David Attenborough Impression In late afternoon at this mid-latitude location in North America, and it's just beginning to get dark in mid-November . There are perhaps 100 individuals gathered here. No doubt some would like to find a mate, but all are here because of the varied and abundant supply of food. Near the periphery are two older males. While one is a very handsome example of his species the other looks quite average, but his behavior is about to reveal that there's something very

MM and PB jackpot increases.
Do you seriously think any lottery ticket is a good deal? For $2 to buy and possess a ticket for the chance to win a great multigenerational life-changing amount of money -- you now own this potential for one or 2 days, every waking moment, to envision what could be done with the winnings. The choices to make. The wishlist things to buy. For these 1 or 2 days prior to the drawing, you walk around doing your errands and daily activities happily contemplating what might be, all that

Does Lottery Software work?
I like the argument from hypersoniq that the lottery is memoryless. It does not remember the past draws. This is especially true of ball draws, not sure about computer generated draws. The truth is if there was a system that worked, we would have jackpot winners almost every drawing or every other draw, but we don't, more so for the bigger jackpots, PB, MM and other larger State games like those in Texas and California. I mostly play QPs, but once in a while I try to do my own ab
