Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
I couldn't agree more with that statement if I had to. I just happen to be in the middle of taking a break from playing the games I usually play but it's not because I'm keeping an eye on myself. It's because of that Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle. Tickets went on sale on March 1st and cost 20 bucks a pop and the final drawing to win a million dollars isn't until July 2nd. I've been averaging buying one ticket per month. (That's not true, I bought 2 tickets in May because 40 bucks c

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
MY apologies if you've already seen this. https://floridalottery.com/promotions/raffle The Florida Lottery website is publishing the number of tickets sold. As of 4/10/2026 148,980 tickets have been sold . Scroll down a bit and you'll see it. Also I've read the official rules. Apparently there is no claiming anonymously. See below. By entering the MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE, a player gives his/her permission for the Florida Lottery to photograph and/or videotape and record the winner w

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm now the proud owner of one Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle ticket!! I kinda knew when I went into that liquor store that the clerk wouldn't know anything about them..... I asked for one Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle ticket as I put my bottle of wine on the counter. Now, because I'm an Old Fool myself, I do make it a point to try and take pity on the old guy behind the counter. We aint got 'em. he says pointing to the scratch offs below the glass top counter. I say I aint

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I agree. Just a bored old guy looking to make something out of nothing. Must be nice to have all his free time. And who cares if your raffle ticket is potentially one number off of a winning ticket? Much ado about nothing.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Raffle Fever hasn't set in yet, but I think there's probably a good chance it's going to. There's just three or four members posting in this thread but there are a lot of eyes watching and reading it. It was started it in early March. Since that time there have been more than 10,000 views. That's Quite a few views in a relatively short time. Why all the interest in it? G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I first went into a very busy Circle K at lunch time. It's new and was recently opened. Big mistake! I was at the tail end of the line and the clerk motioned for me to go to the head of the line. So I said excuse me and walked past guys who had been in line prior to me even though I had absolutely no idea why she called me to the head of the line. I asked for a millionaire raffle ticket. She looked at me and said A millionaire raffle ticket? To which I simply said Yes . She l

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
... whether or not the Florida Lottery will cut the number of winners from 10 down to a lower number due to lower sales is another thing altogether. The snip below is from the Raffle Prizes page. Looks like they only need to sell 1 ticket to award all prizes! Now that's a business plan!

Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
Periodically I deliberately stop playing for a while. (Could be for a month or so) It really doesn't have so much to do with the economy as much as it does me. I intentionally do it so that I know that I'm in control and not the lottery. Right now, I stopped playing regularly a couple of weeks ago. Because Florida has a raffle going on right now, (ends July 2nd) I'll probably pick up a ticket in May, or maybe in June. We'll see. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
232407 tickets sold as of 05/08, up 18219 from last Friday's sales update from Florida Lottery. At 69 days in, that averages 3368 sold per day. If sales proceed at this rate, it will be around 411000 total sold by the end of the raffle. I may buy anther one before the next drawing...

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Bought a ticket yesterday...two clerks in the same store weren't familiar with the raffle! What's that all about? How does it work? My ticket number was 144,5XX. I dunno... looks to me like The Florida Lottery has some work to do if they want to sell even a million tickets. G5
