Delay in information?
From the PB FAQ page... Each state lottery has its own central computer system. There are about seven different system platforms operated by three different vendors in a highly competitive market. The state lottery systems are not interconnected. As powerful and as fast as computers are, you might imagine the power and cost needed to develop a system in each state to record and store play numbers for the entire claim period for all states and that is always connected to every other state so e

Lottery Systems Versus Quick Pick
It should be noted too that all systems players aren't playing by the same rules as is most QP players. All QP players use the same algorithm in the lottery terminals to make their picks because they have no choice. While some system players use software developed by commercial vendors others use software developed by themselves for their particular style of play. System players are as different as apples and oranges and some are successful and others aren't.

Do you buy mistake tickets??
Out in this neck of the woods, people give the clerk their lottery slip and then realize that they left their wallets at home or even worse being under the impression that PB is a dollar a play, they then tell the clerk don't want it, thought it was a buck a play. The ticket is left behind with the clerk holding the bag. I have noticed recently that the vendors now have a sign saying transactions are final-in other words, show me the money first * l have bought some in the past, but not

Do some number combinations have better odds?
With my budget of $20, I'm still trying to win PB with 10 lines and MM with 20 lines. Maybe I should step up my game but I'll probably wouldn't ever play enough that I would need an app to print the play slips. I tried that once years ago with an app that came with LottoPro and only about half of the slips lined up right in my printer. I have a different printer now but when Ohio changed vendors, they changed the play slips and the grid got even smaller so they might be even harder to print.

Scary Georgia Lottery Rumor for Players Everywhere
To all who took the time to respond- thanks! Good points raised. Oh, and I certainly thought about calling the GA Lottery directly and just asking, but I could find myself in a sticky situation if put on the spot and brought to the point that no, I'm not a GA resident. My inquiring mind may just have to wait it out, although I hope if anyone here hears, they'll post and put me out of my misery. I continue to be puzzled as to why the GA Lottery would start the buzz with its vendors without mak

POLL: Playslips
I wrote a program that creates a facsimile of a board on the playslips of the games I play which I use to check patterns of previous drawings and for help making out playslips too. I recently added that routine to my RNG so when it picks a combination to play I can see its layout on a playslip before deciding to reject or accept it. When Ohio recently changed vendors, the old playslips didn't work so I threw them all out but I've build my reserve back up to 20 or so for each game I play, Mega

On line Lottery Vendor Payouts?
I recently started using one of the on-line lottery vendors. It's a heck lot more convenient for me living here in the frozen Northeast. Although I've had a couple of small hits, I haven't requested to withdraw any funds. But, I wonder, if I did hit it big, $9000 for a str8 4 number hit, would I have difficulty collecting or would I actually get paid? Considering they are not USA based (I think) there would be no legal recourse. Anyone have any experience. Pomp

Set-For-Life lottery?
I posted a similar thread about a couple of months ago but it was moved to a subforum where nobody visits. Sorry. NY has the set-for-life lottery game. And I think California used to have similar kind of game, paying the winner 1000 bucks a week. (MEH) But getting 5000 bucks a week, like in that NY game, is very attractive. I bet millions of people (who will never win anything) will be happy to settle with set-for-life game. If there's such kind of game in California and winners are gua

Wondering..how far have you ever driven to play the lottery?
I've never driven to just to play the lottery, other than to the local store around the corner. A few times, when I've been on the road in my own state, I've sometimes bought tickets at stores that weren't in my home town just to see if it would make a difference. A few months ago, I went on a business trip to Boise, Idaho, and I checked to see if there were any lottery vendors near my hotel and it turned out there was, so I bought tickets in the Idaho lottery. When I was returning home, t

Question for any ticket seller/ store manager
At what dollar amount does a store get paid from the lottery for having sold a winning ticket, and how much does the store get? Does it only apply to jackpots? What if a vendor sold a MM or PB 5+0, does it get anyhitng for having sold it? Do the vendors get anything for having sold Pick 5 jackpot winners?
