Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The estimated Powerball jackpot for the July 22 draw, the first draw that includes UK players, increased by a cash value of $10.2 million. The previous jackpot increase was $8 million. The next estimated jackpot increase for the July 25 draw is $14.6 million.
They are definitely expecting a significant boost to sales based on including UK players. The Powerball jackpot also may reverse the trend and start increasing at a faster rate than the Mega Millions jackpot.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
A high Powerball jackpot can increase sales for Mega Millions. Mega Millions produced two life changing wins last night: 3 million in Arizona, and 7.3 million in California.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
$5 a shot for playing 1:292 M odds. everyone would have problem to get over the cost efficiency: it's not worthed it, and it's not fun (one would spend $1 buck to buy a dream)!
Yes, Mega Millions ticket sales have dropped significantly since the price increased from $2 to $5 in April 2025 .
Data from state lotteries indicates that the number of tickets sold has declined by roughly 24% to 30%. While casual players are less willing to buy tickets at the higher price, the 150% price increas

I am so happy no one won the jackpot on Monday, because if someone did, the Brits would be saying it's rigged and an American had to win it before they come on board.
Excited for tonight's draw and how it will increase or maybe I win it

Possible effects include:
potentially higher average jackpots;
Average jackpots are determined by the amount that each ticket contributes to the prize and by the average number of tickets it takes to produce a winner. Neither of those has changed so the average jackpot won't change either. What may change is the frequency of jackpot winners since that's determined by the number of tickets in play and adding a new jurisdiction will presumably increase ticket sales.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot increased by $36 million to $743 million after 36 rolls. This is the largest jackpot increase in the current Mega Millions run. There is an estimated 3.5% chance the Mega Millions jackpot will be won in the next draw whereas it is 5.6% for Powerball.
The Mega Millions jackpot is not growing as fast as it did in the record setting run where the jackpot reached $983 million. The jackpot increased by $40 million from $714 million to $754 million. At the time, the Powe

How do you actually pick your numbers?
the illusion of control.
Part of it is closer to delusion of control, but players do have a little bit of actual control over the outcome.
psychologically and mathematically, this makes perfect sense
I disagree. This is the one way in which players can have some control over the outcome. While most tickets are QPs the 20 to 30% that aren't QPs aren't a random sample of all possible combinations. By choosing your own numbers you can guarantee that you aren't playing all calendar num
