After economy collapse in recession lot of state lotteries ain't doing good due to economy recession. The results, more tv lottery marketing showing more winners but not losers which are more obviously, more marketing everywhere you go, jackpots will turn in great amounts to get you dollar .

How is Massachusetts able to run one of the most successful and well managed lottery in the nation. I think, per capita, its residents play at a higher percentage than most states and win more prizes. I did not want to mention names but you are spot on. St. Jude spends 30% of their annual funds raised to do marketing. That is totally insane. They have over 5 Billion in endowment sitting in Wall Street. I have read many investigative journalist articles on them. That's why I would hesitate to donate to such. But to each their own.
