Holiday Raffle!
My state did a holiday raffle. I bought some tickets but no luck. I was wondering if anyone on here bought any tickets from there state that offered the raffle. And if they had any luck? Also wondering if you participated would you buy tickets in the future. If another raffle was offered. Or no.....

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
This just in to The Interesting to Note But Nobody Cares Department - This time around The Florida Lottery did in fact revamp this edition of The Millionaire Raffle. I think they probably copied some ideas that were instituted by The Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle. I'm a transplant from the Northeast to Florida, and I used to live less than an hour's drive of Pennsylvania. PA has offered their version of a Millionaire Raffle every Fall for many years. I made the trip over to PA each Fall qu

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I've been thinking some more about what I wrote above. I'll take a raffle over MegaMillions or PowerBall everyday. I LIKE raffles. There has to be a reason why The Florida Lottery stopped offering raffles. To my way of thinking, they just didn't make enough profit on them to keep offering them. We'll see what happens with this current raffle, and what The FLA Lottery decides to do in the future after this one concludes. But there just aren't two ways about it. They have to make money o

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. Hard to say if sales will pick up or

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Got anther Raffle ticket when I stopped at Publix today. Over 4500 tickets have been sold since the Lottery put out their most recent sales update. Maybe Saturday is the hot Raffle-buying day! Anyway, I walked up to the lottery counter, and said I'd like a $20 Raffle ticket. (I always mention the price, because if I don't, diligent clerks ask if I know that the price is $20.) So the clerk says which one? I say the Raffle ticket. And she's like which one? and looking over at the scratch-offs, lol

I know Lotto Motto can appreciate what I'm about to write because he/she is located in Miami. I mostly play Florida Fantasy5 due to it's 376,992 to 1 odds. Fantasy5's jackpots aren't exactly life changing. Midday draws pay out roughly $45,000 before taxes to a single winner. The Evening Fantasy5 draw pays approximately $100,000 to a single jackpot winner. (Again, before taxes) If all Raffle tickets in their respective range are sold, the odds of winning are 1 in 100,000. If fewer Raffle

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Hey G5! Good to see you're also fighting the good fight! I'm in the raffle because it came out right at a time when I decided to take a break from the lottery. I quit playing scratch-offs awhile back. I had been playing JTP regularly, but the method I'm using for number selection dictated a break until June (don't ask!) If by felt that you really could you mean 'can I afford it?' then yes. Considering the recent inflationary trends, I am fortunate to be in a position to still have disc

I tend to agree with almost everything you wrote, but there is one thing I'm not sure about. In Pennsylvania (a state that's held a Millionaire Raffle for maybe the last 20 consecutive years) something happened six or seven years ago that was caused by what some called Raffle Fatigue on the part of players. In almost every year, the PA Lottery usually begins selling Millionaire Raffle tickets in early October, and the drawing is held shortly after The New Years Day Holiday. Although I c

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I have my doubts that 2 million tickets can be sold considering the time of year The Florida Lottery is running what they're calling 'a promotion'. The Pennsylvania Lottery's Millionaire Raffle ticket selling window is during the fourth quarter of the year. It gets a nice boost in sales during Christmas when people gift raffle tickets. The maximum number of tickets that can be sold is 500,000 and for many years The PA Lottery has had no problem selling all 500,000 tickets. The Florida Lotte
