Events are mutually exclusive, meaning every event starts with 1000 sets. Your prior probabilities(hence historical data) is hard to established. We assume for convenience that the pool structure before event is 0123456789, but it could 0112478903,5478890120 etc. A good read on Frequentist data sampling and Markov chains will help. Randomness is lack of pattern or order, hence algorithm will not cut. When you say 'This does not exclude formulation of short or long term patterns in the random selection', you're inserting an opinion which is a disconnect from the definition. All lottery game has unique premise, i.e. 'Each event/draw is mutually exclusive', understanding this statement may change one's approach.

Forgot something....when looking at your States past results look at the skip totals. A lot of times an all odd or all even number hits again within 3 draws. It could be, for your State, that this event happens at a higher rate than 15%. It might be that on a win you double-down , take your win money and go for a quick parlay.

Not true. Odds are FACTS, such as Templates, they don't change for long periods of times. Probabilities on the other hand can change depending on the situation at the time of the event. The outcome can be influenced a BILLION different ways. Altering outcomes is an art.

I agree whole heartedly! The Search PastResults feature is the greatest...FANTASTIC! most of my plays are based on past performances of #s. History does repeat itself, seek it out so that you can capitalize on the event.

I subscribe to the premise of lottery, hence each event is unique, most of my predictions is based on assumptions, waging is more of a strategy. You can have the right picks and poor waging strategy, who says you have to follow distribution trend?

Hmmm well maybe I will pursue another state, or wait on another event to which this method will apply being that NY has given up the juice with short sum 8 and a root sum 9 with the last evening drawn number 675. I am beginning to open my eyes to sums, v-tracs, and pairs a lot more. So fascinated with numbers!

On the subject of 'input / output' system... I would say, that if there was a system out there, the results would have fluctuation in it but it would still be good none the less.. I agree on each event is unique. and yes the odds are stacked against you, depending on how you play. I guess with any gambling you have to play want feels good for you.

If your data for testing is 'prior' then you're back-testing. I did not infer in my comment about finding equations or algorithms for predictions. You seem to have certainty how lottery should work, hence a different point of view is pointless. I subscribe to the event been random, this approach has work well in all my predictions in my numerous threads.
