If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
The odds that any one number will turn up in a PB drawing are 5 in 55. That means there's about a 9% chance that the first number from the previous drawing will repeat. It also means there's about a 9% chance that the second number will repeat. Ditto for numbers 3, 4 5. Add it up and there's better than a 45% chance that one of the numbers will repeat. That's close enough to call it 50/50 when discussing it in general terms.

Your Position on position tracking
Hello and Merry Holidays.I'm new and delurking on this board with the following questions:How many of you track positional hits? I'm in California and I have been playing the Fantasy 5. I have been using Lotto Pro and Lottowhiz for statistical tracking. Positional tracking is intriguing to me but I assume you have to have exact draw positions in order to make it work. Lottowhiz in their drawing entry only allows you to enter the drawings in ascending order (lowest # 1st, highest # last). I don't

Pick 3 Substitution System - Texas Pick 3
https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/252350 Posted: October 24, 2012, 7:32 pm The New Substitute Lottery System with Gap Strategy Overview I have been posting my ideas regarding lottery systems here in LP since 2003. Although there were lot of posting at LP at the time, there wasn't much information on the how-to aspect. There seemed to be a lot of interest but few in-depth ideas. After being financially burned by commercial lottery prediction systems that

Just curious, but does anybody know...
Like I mentioned in an earlier post, covering all the bonus balls in a PowerBall or MegaMillions game might make some players more comfortable when gambling enough to do so but everyone is different. Normally I don't play sixty lines for a lottery drawing but the chance to play for a $200M+ jackpot doesn't come along that often either. I usually play 10-15 lines when the jackpot is decent, but for fun I'm always trying different things on paper and on the prediction board so when a large j

Fooled by Randomness
The PA evening pick-3 drawing is and has always been done by live ball drawings. There is much more to probability than assuming each number should be drawn one time every 1000 drawings and the results show this. Looking at the last 1000 PA evening drawings, the digit 9 appeared 81 times in the first position meaning it was impossible for for at least 19 numbers starting with the digit 9 to be drawn in those 1000 drawings. The digit 2 was drawn 91 times and 6 was drawn 92 giving another 17 nu

If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
You could eliminate any numbers you want to, but what's the reason for eliminating them? Of course the chances that the same combination will repeat next time are slim to none. There are 175,711,535 other combinations that could come up instead, so that makes the odds that the same number will come up in the next drawing 1:175,711,535. It's not a coincidence that those are exactly the same odds as for any other combination. For any combination that you pick, and no matter how you pick it, ther

P3/P4 system based on 1000000 random simulations
In 17 consecutive draws of Pick 3, there is a 51% chance of at least one box-repeat or straight-repeat in that interval. For the terms, a repeat is normally when the 2nd result of two consecutive drawings is/was the same. If you use that then you start playing the previous drawings starting after the first drawing. That means that you have 1 to 16 bets to p(l)ay. If you win immediately then you have a net win. As soon as your payout is smaller than the total of your p(l)ayed bets you cre

Stanyslaww is BACK!! megamillions
I also look at this way in line 1, line 2, and line 3 there is no 30's so it is a greater chance for 30's to come in the predict line. ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) line 1 11 19 40 43 44 line 2 6 17 24 43 55 line 3 2 14 26 50 56 In line 3 is missing 30's and 40's which is the breaking point in the line so looking at the two 50's I determined 50's will be in the predict line either 51, 52, or 53 so the missing 40's and 30's looking at the three 40's in line 1 a high chance 40's will not

Magic 17
It looks similar to a 3 if 4 of 10 digit pick-4 wheel I have that creates 18 combinations. In any pick-4 drawing where 4 different digits are drawn, at least one of the combos will match 3 digits. I also have a 2 if 3 of 10 digit pick-3 wheel that guarantees having one combo matching 2 digits with 10 combinations. In your example, the digit 1 appears 9 times, 2 appears 9 times, 3 - 9 times, 4 - 4 times, 5 - 9 times, 6 - 9 times, 7 - 9 times, 8 - 2 times, 9 - 5 times, and 0 - appears 3 times.
