Two Wisconsin brothers arrested in lottery tickets theft
Thieves are sooooo stupid. Lottery tickets are one of the most tracked items for sale in the retail environment. Each pack (and its individual tickets) are tracked from the printer to the warehouse to the store they are sold in. Each ticket has a unique number assigned to it and thus, if they are stolen, all a retailer has to do is to provide the game, pack, and ticket numbers stolen and those tickets are as good as a one way ticket to jail.Reminds me of the time a few years ago in Northern Virg

Mass. Lottery games to merge, jackpots to increase
massachusetts should extend their annuity period to 30 years, and offer a cash option of at least $1 million. that way, the annuity value would be greater, and there would be bigger rollovers in terms of the annuity value. either that or make all their games offer a lump sum jackpot instead of just mass cash. a lot of customers choose the cash option. on an average day in PA, i would see maybe one or two customers ask for the annuity value for the old super 6. the rest would ask for the cas

Lottery millionaire admits laundering money for drug dealers
Best I can figure is that in multi million dollar cash business, drug dealers have the problem of trying to get their money to become legitimate cash without getting caught for dealing or tax evasion,,,if they deposit it in the bank the IRS gets called in to probe you, if you start buying hundreds of thousands worth of material things in cash it also sends up a red flag. In this case they tried to buy a house lets say for $100,000.. they pay the owner $30,000 in cash....the owner drops the pri

Oregon Lottery Drops Plan to Cut Taverns' Commissions
The Oregon Lottery director said Monday that she plans to rework her controversial proposal to cut bar and tavern owners' video poker compensation.Director Brenda Rocklin's initial proposal turned out to yield far less revenue for state-funded programs than first estimated, prompting calls from education advocates and others for more drastic reductions in the share of video poker proceeds that bars and taverns are allowed to keep as compensation. But bars, taverns and restaurants and their trade

Whittaker Robbed Again and Again
The amazing thing to me is with the money Jack won, he could literally live anywhere in the world and do just about anything he wanted. I couldn't pack up and move to New Zealand or Switzerland or even to a Kauai bungalow, but Jack could. There are so many sights and experiences available to someone with that kind of money. But he goes to racetracks, bars, casinos, strip clubs, the kind of places with desperate people looking for money, places where trouble will find you. The only good thing a

Campus sales of Tennessee Lottery tickets unlikely
First, let me state that I am a college student in Tennessee who will not be receiving any scholarship funded by lottery profits. As a whole college students don't have that much money. Anyone who has been to college can attest to the fact that books and other necessary fees are extremely high. Personally, it seems like a colleges in Tennessee would be sending a message to students that it's okay to blow what little money you have on the lottery, because it's coming back to you in the form of

Mass. Lottery games to merge, jackpots to increase
Quote: Originally posted by LottoBuddy on February 22, 2004 Why would players want to get rid of Mass Millions? It is the only lottery I know of that is currently a fair bet. Your expected winnings is greater than the cost of a ticket ($1?). Over how many years will the $49.2 million jackpot be annuitized? Why are sales so low for a lottery with such a high expected payout? They are thinking of getting rid of Mass Millions because the sales are so low. It is suffering the common lottery diseas

Two former workers win suit against Kentucky lottery
Well Put Utterly Amazing. Paid Lotto I think sound like one of the silly actors who make about 6-8 million after all expenses from their 20+ million up paydays and still make statements that taxes should be raised to help with budgets lol. Some people really need to research, a situation before they say someone doesnt deserve all that money. Let someone fired Paid for his religion or enthinicity and he loses his house and cant pay his medical bills. You bet Paid Lotto would be the first trying
