$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
Coin Toss mentioned a discussion from several years ago about a jackpot winner using their own name suing to claim anonymously. Regardless of filing as John Doe , how can he prove she signed a NDA with him or prove she told his dad without shown the document with his name or the name of his dad? Something fishy about this whole story. and especially considering he claimed his prize using a trust to remain anonymous and then told his ex-girlfriend but didn't even tell his own father

$925 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears billion-dollar milestone
If you take a minute and think about it, the 90 day anonymous law in Florida has the word COMPROMISE written all over it. 90 days is the best solution for a bill that The Florida Legislature could pass and send to The Governor's Office for signature. There were those in The Legislature that wanted complete anonymousness for the winners, but there were also other Legislators who felt total anonymousness would hurt ticket sales. Neither side could have it totally their way. So they found a com

Bill to allow Pennsylvania lottery players to claim anonymously passes unanimously in Senate
I think there is a tremendous amount of discrimination in the world. But the way this guy throws around the b word, attitude towards women, and the fact that he keeps changing his story, does not add up. He first referred to the bank employee as a b because she would not look out a window and validate the name of his business via a truck logo. Lol I think his issues in that case are due to his ignorance and attitude and winning the lottery would not help his attitude. He wants to buy women a

$70 million Michigan Powerball winner says lottery winners should be able to remain anonymous
Remember in an analysis of anonymity for a state, it is not typically just a yes or no like Maryland where it is 100% anonymous and they stress that fact. Anonymity can be limited based on a time period and/or amount won, type of game, and subject to state FOIA and similar laws. Or if a state says no to anonymity, it MAY allow you to claim via a llc or trust. And whether your name is released as the winner will also vary. So it is not just a simple yes or no answer.

$910 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot making another historic run
I live in a state that allows winners to claim any amount of winning anonymously. Should luck ever be on my side and I win a jackpot, I would love to be anonymous. It feels good to be worth 500M and still be able to go to the local store or restaurant without having to look over your shoulder and just blend in with everybody.

New bill in Wisconsin could allow some lottery winners to remain anonymous
Protecting Social Security #, give me a break. That has been in effect that I know of Federally since 1974. Many years ago my hospital employer would print out the hours an individual worked. It included your SSAN for anyone to dig through the pile to see. Yearly we had surveys to fill out which were anonymous. Said in mine if someone steals mine in violation of Federal law and I'd sue. Well they quickly gave everyone an AHS # to use and no more SSAN used. Fast forward two visits ago goi
