California Lottery vending machine stolen and dumped on the side of the road
I do believe that there was NOT a lot of money in that vending machine. California has more lottery vending machines in more locations than any other state in the US. So it stands to reason that there was not a lot of money in the machine, just money from the people in that neighborhood. Besides most machines are now able to accept credit and debit cards so that also cuts down on a lot of cash being in them.

Thief steals $27,000 worth of Pennsylvania Lottery tickets from gas station
The barcode on the back of the ticket is there just to tell the cash register what this is and how much it costs. The vending machine doesn't do that because it already knows what you're buying and how much it costs. The same is true for vending machines that sell anything else. When you buy a Coke from a vending machine, it doesn't scan the barcode.

"Dumb luck": Maryland man wins a second time in one year at the same lottery vending machine
Player has fine tuned which tickets he buys and where he buys them from By Kate Northrop A Maryland man says it was dumb luck that he ended up winning a $50,000 scratch-off prize from the same lottery vending machine he had won at earlier this year. In just this year alone, one Maryland lottery player won two big scratch-off prizes from tickets purchased at the same vending machine. The anonymous winner told the Maryland Lottery that it was all thanks to dumb luck and circumstanc

Three $1 million winning Powerball lottery tickets sold at the same New York store
I'm sure the lottery already looked at the stores security cameras along with ticket print times to know if it was only one person or not. Not sure if New York has vending lotto machines, but I had a issue once with a Michigan Lottery vending machine and customer support looked up the transaction from the last 4 digits of my debit card. The Lottery knows but there not going to give that info out for security reasons.

Massachusetts Lottery to add second daily Mass Cash drawing
They have made a total mess of this Mass Cash 2nd drawing rollout. The Ma. lottery is usually quite efficient. I wondered immediately about both the season tickets (which they no longer sell I believe but there had to be some that had them with time left on them). I also wondered why they didn't print new play slips in advance of this. They canceled the rollout but now you cannot advance play even for 2 days which many like to do in this game because it is nightly now. You have to go in every da

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Dude what are you talking about? Apparently you don't know what a Fast Play ticket is. Fast Play tickets print out of the lottery terminal or a lottery vending machine. YOU instantly know if you have won or not by looking at the ticket or scanning it. There are NO waiting until the numbers are drawn. Arizona feels that there is a problem with some people trying to buy up all the Fast Play tickets in the Progressive games, which are jackpots that continually grow until someone wins. In my area of

South Carolina Lottery suspends license of retailer that sold ticket to minor
little kids just like they way it feels when the machine pulls the dollar bill out of your hands. a teen is old enough to have a real (and unhealthy) interest in gambling. An 8yo might not have had a clue what they wee even buying. It's possible the parents gave the kid some money and told him to get something from a vending machine, and for whatever reason that's the machine he chose. These teens nowadays look like adults could be an honest mistake My (already very well-developed)
