ODDS problem
An odds question with abbreviated wheels. In a KENO game if your playing P6 15 numbers and you got lucky and hit 6, 7 or 8 of the 20 numbers picked in your 15 numbers, would the odds of hitting all 6 of the numbers on one line be better for a 3 if 3 game or would one of the other ifs be better? (3 if 4, etc.) We know each method requires a different quantity of numbers to play. But would one 'if' have over all better odds of hitting than the others. I'm guessing there are too many varia

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Oh, cool. Congratulations!!! I think you kinda answered your question right there. I think the odds in the Ohio classic is around 1 in 50,000 of matching 5 of 6. A little over 1 in 5,000,000 for 5 of 5 in PB. Nearly 4,000,000 fpr MM. Sounds like you already beat the odds. In a drag race, if a record for speed or time is broken, it takes a similar pass to make it fact. I think you have made that as fact with the two 5 of 6 wins. I don't think there has been 50,000 draws pass since you hit twic

Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
Sounds like we both traveled similar paths but mine started out with a TI computer and then to a Commode 64 before I bought a Tandy1000. Both the TI and Commode had a console Basic that were similar to Tandy RS Basic which was GWBasic with a few extra features. Some of the routines I used on my Tandy computer I still use in my GWBasic programs today. I fear Window7 will end my use of GWBasic but for right now I still have a couple of computers with WindowXP that still have a few years left s

What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
I was simply pointing out that even a system after winning a jackpot, except for winning that jackpot would probably not look very impressive when back tested. (As I posted in another thread) By design states lotteries are designed so 45-50% of tickets sales is profits for the states. When you consider that 5% go to retailers for selling tickets and another 5-10% goes for advertising and operating cost, players as a group are lucky to get 40% of their money back. To attract more players 30

To Scientists, Physicists & Mathematicians: Have this Variable in Mind...
just for the record, i am trying to crack the lottery because i am trying to help my family, more so want to get a home and want to do other things NOT BECAUSE I LIKE THE LOTTERY LOTTERY TO ME IS LIKE TAKING 2 ROCKS AND BANGING THEM TOGETHER EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY...THE THING IS THAT IS THE ONLY THING THERE IS and it has some benefits that i mentioned before like anticipating when someone will die [minority report], seeing the future, collect money for some causes, turning back the clock on his

The Quantum Sums
I have a system that I have been tracking for the past year May 2009 May 2010 and it is really very good in my opinion BUT I am missing one crucial component. I need a way to calculate what the Lucky Sum will be for each draw within a range of four (4) sums meaning that if the calculation produces a result of four (4) different sums and one of those sums is the winning sum every time the system will be successful. Of course fewer than four sums would be optimal but four will work; it just requir

How many of you if you had the time will study Probability just for fun
Pick 5 or pick 6 lotteries are big dreams. But think about this; The lowest of them all, pick 2 of 10 numbers or pick 3 of ten? Can you or anyone you know beat them? The money comes from selling a system or a 'how to win book'. Or maybe just being real lucky!! IMO ez
