3 probability math puzzles
If you set the coordinates of your random points as (r*cos(theta), r*sin(theta)) and (p*cos(phi), p*sin(phi)), where r and p are uniformly distributed over (0, 1) and theta and phi are informly distributed over (0, 2*pi) you will get (2/3)R^2 as your answer. However, there is a problem with that approach. The random point (r*cos(theta), r*sin(theta)) (where r and theta are uniformly random) is not uniformly distributed over the circle. The points are concentrated in the center.
So if you

Statistical Sampling Question
Just so you know the math behind it, here are the formulas used to calculate sample size:
Sample Size Calculation:
Sample Size = (Distribution of 50%) / ((Margin of Error% / Confidence Level Score)Squared)
Finite Population Correction: True Sample = (Sample Size X Population) / (Sample Size + Population)

What number is too high to play for a first ball? (mm/pb)
- Correction -
We said, The percent probability is just the e -(x / m ) portion of the formula.
The correct probability is (1 / (2.45550799441)2 ) e -(x / 2.45550799441 ).
The (1 / (2.45550799441)2 ) propotion is required.
The proportion can also be expressed as (1917710 / 780983)2.
To get percentge, multiply by 100%.

Correction to the code above. for r=5 to 48 change the 6 to a 5
you need to add data for col A,B, and C. I don't have your database so I can't calculate the skips
this program simply loops thru all possible combinations of skip. for each loop it adds the skips indicated in col B associated with the variables R,S,T,U,V, W. If the total matches the number in c5 then it displays the numbers in col A indicated by variables R,S,T,U,V,W
good luck

Some new results on some old techniques.
Well, I'm a little P.O.'d over a 4-2-8 on tonights 3-2-8. Because of a stupid oversight on my part. But mistakes is where we learn what to correct. Here is part of that correction right now. See I've only got back to this a little over a month ago. And have been putting a lot of time into this wanting to know what can be done. If anything. Well, I've learned a few things about it. One, there is randomness in the numbers. There is no doubt randomness. Two, the randomness isn't there by mistake. T
