Math Geniuses, Help!! "SLAG" Odd/Even Analysis - Chart I
Predictions, projections, pattern mapping/recognition and forecasts won't be able to come up with immediate upcoming draw's numbers. Getting a pool of numbers using multiple strategies could help choose numbers.

BFDES (Brute Force Double Exponential Smoothing)
Well then, my Smoothies didn't work so back to the drawing board. BFDES is going to go into my rather large folder of things that are interesting or represent totally out of the box thinking, but don't have any value whatsoever in terms of narrowing down the pool of numbers that may hit in the near term.

Neural Net Lottery Picker
I've tested it on 6/49 and it does not work for me at all. It seems that it can work pretty well with games that are played very often( a couple times a day) and a lot of numbers are drawn from a big pool of numbers.

Request = algorithm pattern simulator for lotteries
Which game? The algorithm would probable have to be unique for each game depending on combination and pool sizes. I've found even similar games hardly ever work exactly the same, each is unique.

How to simulate a distribution and use the lottery's own randomness against itself.
Wow, that's sucks..:-(( I got you point about odds, it is not worth it probably, if we play we can only hope on luck or strong belief in to winning I hope they at list going to lower pool of numbers..

When is there a positive expectation for playing Mega Millions?
Actually, I know pot odds and expected value quite well. Perhaps I didn't give the clearest of examples, but the point is that I'm attempting to ascertain exactly how much $ needs to be in the prize pool in order to have a positive expectation in gambling on it. Where $1 input = $1 expected return, mathematically, regardless of the variance which is of course, astronomical in scope and scale.

When is there a positive expectation for playing Mega Millions?
There is a concept I learned while playing poker called Expected Value and it basically means that for any bet you make, there is an expected long-term distribution of results that, when condensed, give an overall value. For example, lets say if I bet $100 on a poker hand and I have a 55% chance of winning, my EV is positive because over the long run I expect to win more money than I put into the pot (despite the fact that on any given hand I win or lose the full amount). It is my understandi

Try one of these. http://www.jadexcode.com/files/excel/ThreeSums-03.xlsm or ftp://www.jadexcode.com/excel/ThreeSums-03.xlsm look for a new tab ' 39-5 Unbounded 'at the bottom in the Excel file. The CombNexus is detailed on the last tab and below. =CombNexus(N, R, C, Z1, Z2) N - Pool Size R - Pick Size C - Column Z1 - Number in column C from the 1st set of drawn numbers from a pool of N taken R at a time. Z2 - Number in column C from the 2nd s

Math the old math can't work it's called Transparent Math
JW I ran many test using sequential skips, differences etc.. back when the pool pool was still running and as far as lottery goes it was a total waste of time. Roulette might be a different story but I doubt one could play very long without some unwanted attention. Very easy to spot. RL
