Mayem: If there's no similar pattern on ball machines you might be correct. If you are interested you might have a look at the multi-state jackpot games in the same way as this, or pick a ball game versus a RNG game of any state you care to. If the patterns persist but the sequence of dates changes you might be led to conclude it isn't a product of RNG programming. Thanks for the reply.

Sum-range distribution across PB / MM / new MFL game — comparing the curves
Been running sum-of-balls distributions across the three big multi-state games and the MFL one's interesting because the 1 58 pool gives a different center of mass than Powerball's 1 69 or Mega's 1 70. Rough centers I'm seeing: Powerball (5 of 1 69): sums cluster ~175 Mega Millions (5 of 1 70): ~178 Millionaire for Life (5 of 1 58): ~147 For anyone who plays sum ranges as a filter, MFL's lower ceiling tightens the useful band a fair bit. You don't have to use a computer to come up with variables or use them, it just that using a computer might make the process faster. Besides if you come up with something that shows promise, the potential rewards could be an incentive to learn what ever more you think you need to know to use a computer to do the work. I'm experimenting with ways to come up with variables that are reliable 75% of the time using the local game (6/49) but the targeted number groups are too large to get a winner
