Reduction Methods
The way I see it, lady luck isn't on my side... I would probably lose anyway, so I am happier being in the game with one ticket and spending $2 (for the power play) than to be holding a fistful of losers. In this way my hobby only sets me back a maximum of $208 a year... and I do occasionally match 3 or the pb and 1 or 2, keeps it interesting. If I do win I generally add another line or 2 the next draw. one shot, done... that's the plan. If I were to play pick 3 (which I don't) I would play a few

Mathematical Cost of Playing the Game
The most important mathematics is figuring out how much it really cost to play. If you cut your cost, then you can play more combinations longer. Figure paying 14 cents instead of $2 per ticket. For example try playing 5 Powerball Tickets with Power Play for 36 weeks. It would cost a total of $360 ($10 X 36 = $360). Turn around and play those same tickets at $50. You save $310. It averages out to paying 14 cents per ticket. A person on a fixed income, like myself, could splurge playing more ti

Powerball Powerplay - Is it worth wagering it?
Depends on how many tickets you're buying but because the minimum multiplier is 2, IMO the extra buck is worth it. Most of like to dream but realistically we should expect to win a smaller secondary prize and Power Play upgrades smaller wins.

The Powerplay Option
im not sure the return on $ is accurate. when you toggle between power play and not, it doubles the return on dollars. where as it should be based on actual results.

Statistics, weighting and scope....
I finally got around to updating my match 6 sheet to include short term trends in it's one final pick... first test will be on tuesday... the beauty of the system is it is fully automated, including weighing!the other major project I have to do is remove the INT keyword from all of my excel sheets, I think it would be more accurate to let the numbers flow and round the final pick off...then I must do this with my ENTIRE powerball sheet, that is my june pet side project...in the end I will have e

Lottery Game Design White Papers
One White Paper on payouts is: But all kidding aside, there is a way to measure payouts to odds. It's by the Odd / Dollar. Or, Odds per payout Dollar, Odds / $Payout. As an example, if we take the Pick 3 Straight payout of $500.00 and divide it into its odds of 1 in 1,000, we use 1,000 / $500.00 and get 2 Odd / Dollars. The lower the Odd / Dollar, the better the payout. Sticking with Pick 3, a 6-way Box pays out $80.00 and the Odds are 1 in 167, divide 167 by $80.00 we

There is no Math when it come to winning.
Mega Millions is really an all or nothing game because of the low payoffs on the secondary prizes. Even winning $150 just keeps you in the game a little bit longer. I rarely played it, preferring Rolling Cash 5 and Ten-Oh because I could at least cash a ticket. I've played some Powerball after I move to Kentucky because of the power play option, but at $2 a ticket I can't be playing very large wheels. I haven't played Pick-3 very much in years but it pays $600 to $1 here so I'm thinking about

Mathematical Cost of Playing the Game
Wedding coordinators earn a fee for organizing weddings. Persons could do it themselves and save money. Yet, to do it professionally and right cost money. First TN Powerball Group of Shelby County isn't a nonprofit group. It requires time energy and money organizing teams across the USA to join Lottery Pools. Whoever, organizes the group has to safeguard the investments of each team member. Otherwise, they may not fulfill their payoff obligations. My job as the group organizer, is to provide all
