Here's why I dont like the additional drawing per day - If there are multiple jackpot winners, then the jackpot is divided equally among them. (That's not changing) Suppose there are four winners of the jackpot which was $100,000. That means each winner will receive $25,000 before taxes! A player might net $18,000. Big deal!! NOT!!!! A $100,000 jackpot will be a whopper of a jackpot. We might see a jackpot that big on Friday's and Saturday's, but the rest of the days of the week the jack

What we are really talking about here is Player behavior. IMHO players love FF5 for it's BIG JACKPOTs and LOW ODDS! It's as simple as that. Of course nobody will become a millionaire playing FF5, but a $200,000 jackpot win is a nice chunk of change. Players vote with their dollars. When something good disappears, so do the players. FF5 is a very popular game among Florida Lottery players. This two draws a day thing could backfire big time on The Florida Lottery. I hope it does. I dont k

Oops I accidentally posted about this in the main forum I'm looking forward to being able to track the new day drawing but my first reaction was also concern about the jackpots I'm hoping that this will cut down on the number of times the pot is shared and that they at least still honor the rolldown when there's no winners

Very nice, G5! We've seen many of those free QP's turn into jackpots quite recently. I missed the free number! My lottery money for the week has gone to JTP and I bought 1 Powerball ticket today. I did terrible on JTP last night, not even 3 numbers on a line. I'll try again Friday as it's at a million. And don't forget about the FL Lottery Daily Doubler promotion. You can enter FF5 tickets. I threw several away before I remembered. Good luck, everyone!

I had the same thought. It's their own greed that eventually causes people to get caught. Not sure what's going on with her winning three jackpots, but that's just too much of a coincidence for me. It also makes me wonder if The Florida Lottery has noticed what we saw. If they have taken notice of it, they probably cant prove anything therefore didn't take any action. It's not a stretch to think that they have software that can scan lists of winners names looking for the same name and a

I like to pick 3 or 4 numbers for each of the lines I'm going to play from the pool of numbers that appeared in the last 10 drawings. Over the life of FF5, an average of 4 of the 5 winning numbers in any given drawing came from the last 10 draws. The down side of doing this is that you're usually picking from a pool of 24 to 26 of FF5's 36 numbers. That's a lot of numbers. But there's no doubt that doing this helps a little . Last night all five winning numbers that were drawn came from within t

Happy New Year G5 and everyone who read these comments! I hope the new year brings you joy, love, peace and big jackpots. Well look at that - 16 with 61 hits. 2023: 26 with 62 hits? lol.

Last night there was one winner of the FF5 jackpot for approximately $175,000. That's still about $20,000 lower than what we typically saw prior to Hurricane Ian. I haven't seen any jackpot winners listed on The Top Prize Report from Southwest Florida since the storm either. Electric power has been restored to most people in that area, but I'm sure many lottery retailers were entirely wiped out even if they do have power. The west coast winners I've seen on the report have all been Tampa

Glad to hear that. I've been thinking of you guys. I also have relatives in Tampa that are inland. They're expecting to lose power but not really have to deal with much damage. I wasn't living in Florida the first time I went across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. It was spectacular! Coming from PA, I had never seen anything like that! I didn't play FF5 tonite but I'm expecting another low jackpot with Ian coming. The jackpots have been quite low the last 2 nights.

Because I'm a terrible SNOOP.... I'll Google anything and everything, but Google aint where I got the following info There were FIVE jackpot winners the day 'Buddy won! Three were women and two were men. But only the men picked their own numbers. All three ladies went with QP's. $46,498 X 5 = $232,490. Told ya them jackpots been shrinkin' lately. G5
