Mega Millions & CA Set a New Record

Big California Mega Millions Winner
I'm surprised no one mentioned the big 5+0 California winner in the last Mega Millions drawing. One person is taking home a cool $717,167 after matching 5+0 Friday night.Naturally, people who check out the USA Mega drawing information page the morning after each Mega Millions drawing can see that information, plus all other information about the drawing, including the draw video.

USA Mega wrong...4 second tier winners
I had realized and fixed the problem within a few minutes. The front-page newsstory at USA Mega correctly states that there were 4 $250,000 winners.I'm guessing that the California winner is taking home more than $1 million - maybe after taxes, because California does not add state tax to lottery prizes. We'll see sometime later in the morning when California publishes the payout info - will appear at:http://www.usamega.com/mega-millions-drawing.asp?d=8/9/2005
