Hot Lotto Coming Jan. 2008 to Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Lottery will begin a television game show and offer an additional multistate game in hopes of improving lower-than-expected revenues, officials say. The new television game show is to be filmed in Oklahoma City; it will begin airing in October. In 2008, the state would join 10 other states in offering the Hot Lotto game, which features a minimum jackpot of $1 million.

I'm still gonna wait until anuity reaches $100M before I buy any tickets. My gut says, don't worry about spending money until the newspapers, radio, and television start promoting the number. It is rare when a win happens before that happens. I see no need to run in front of the train, better to get on and ride with it. As soon as it hits $100M annuity, I start looking in the fridge and checking my milk supply.

I saw a news blurb on local television about a group of Traders in Chicago that had a winning 175k ticket. Now they are claiming that the clerk took off with it? Does this even sound believable anymore? How hard is it to check your own numbers?

In Canada unfortunately the lottery corporation wants people that win a jackpot to go on television and in the newspaper, so the corporation can get publicity.. I don't agree with it, I wouldn't want everybody knowing that I won, because then they are ignorant and ask you for money; I would go away as soon as I was able to anyway..

I didn't know the Washington State Lotto was computerized. It doesn't say anything on their web-site. I will e-mail them to find out when they started computerized drawings. I always liked watching the traditional ball method when they showed it on television at 7:00, even if I wasn't playing. I have some free software that analyzes the Washington Lotto for frequency of numbers and you can specify date ranges. Maybe I will notice a difference from when the computerized drawings started. W
