CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
No big wins yet. I lost my gambling fund at the slot machines in Vegas so I am taking it slow right now. Sometimes I don't bet at all, I just see what bets other people are making. It is fun to watch the whales bet $200 or $300 at a time. Yesterday someone was making $30 bets and won 3.1 bitcoins twice, which is about $3600 total. I am not totally done with scratchers, when the new $20 ticket is released I'll probably buy a couple just to try it out. I am also looking forward to the quarterly

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
There's too much variability with pari-mutuel. Sometimes you get really whacky payouts. I see why and the potential upside, but I prefer fixed payouts like other states. One time I saw a Daily 4 box payout that you usually see with Daily 3 games. If someone matches 5/5 on Friday in MM, they'll get ~$250,000. It usually takes 3-4 rolls at near reset jackpot values before it hits $1 million that everyone else gets as a default. BUT, on the flip side, you can get more, like in this case and whe

$20 California ticket
I see both the free ticket and $20 win as the same, although the odds are slightly different. Ultimately, you're looking at the total return on the game over time, not individual lower tier prizes while hoping to hit the top prize. The free ticket and $20 prizes make up 7,840,000 prizes or 67% of the available winning tickets. If they didn't have those two prizes in the prize pool and started the prize at say, $30 at higher odds, the interval between winners will likely be much longer for most p

I know playing the low dollar ones doesn't really play off, but is there a way to know how many tickets sold and how many remaining. For example, the HD game has 16 of the 66 $5K prizes remaining, as 20 were claimed in the last 2 weeks. The Emergency Rules say there are 66 pools of 240,000 tickets, so 1 $5K winner for every pool. Is there a way to know how many pools have been released or how many of the 18,000,000 tickets have been sold. I would think that if knew this information, the

I guess if you b*tch enough something will happen. Stopped at Wawa Wednesday and during checkout a girl saw my Flyers sweatshirt and we chatted. I stopped on the way home tonight to see if she was working to talk hockey. I been leaving my ATM card at home and only spent $1 on lottery all week. I run the work football pool. I keep $70 of my own money aside to always buy the $5/$1's, so I have change weekly. Well I had the $70 on me on the way home and decided to play. It was payday and I figured

Number of tickets in any scratchers game in CA?
The total pool of tickets is normally fixed, but sometimes they do re-orders of some games. Like the $5 Set for Life game originally was ordered with 30,000,000 tickets, but then they re-ordered another 9.8 million. The published odds are still the same and does not change for any particular game. But that does not necessarily mean that all of those tickets are out there in stores or will ever be completely distributed to stores.

I have done a pool 2-3 times but nothing came out of it. Was a nice experience though. There are people around here who drop as much as $1K + a day on lotto. Im talking $500 for Powerball , $500 for scratchers , $500 for Fantasy 5 all in 1 go. Either these guys have won big before and are playing with extra funds or they are in a world of debt. I recall seeing a video where a guy spent $600 each day on lotto and his debt after 5 years was $800K and finally he hit FL lotto jackpot and won

anyone thought of this:ScratchOffs Syndicate
Locally an independent gas station ran a fish bowl pool. Its customer would buy $1 scratch-offs, write their names on them and throw them into a fish bowl. Every Saturday there was a drawing and the person whose name was drawn from the fish bowl won 400-500 tickets. It all ended when someone caught one of the workers taking out some tickets for himself. I've never trusted scratch-off games since I read about the Indiana lottery security person sending his friends to a store to buy a roll o

How many tickets are issued per game in Florida??
Hello, yes there is a way to find out. Its kind of tricky but it's interesting. The FL Lottery has legal paperwork called Emergency Rules document . These emergency rules are a document that's submitted to Tallahassee when new game is created. The emergency rules document shows all of the legal information about the particular game including the different options for prizes, the symbols included in the game and all of the legal mumbo jumbo. To see an example go to Google and type in this:
