New Illinois Lottery Sweepstakes for September
Hey all, not sure if the Illinois Lottery wanted this out already, but my Lottery Retailer has a cardboard stand out with free entry forms to take for the upcoming $10 $200,000,000 Cash Spectacular game. Basically, save your tickets because you can start sending in non winning minimum of either a non winning Cash Spectacular ticket or a combination of $10 non winning tickets to enter a drawing to throw a half court shot at an upcoming basketball game later this year for a chance at a $1 million

It doesn't matter HOW many tickets he has..I'm a manager at a gas station (not the owner) and the owners usually only had 5-8 books of tickets at a time. Yes, but I bet you have several hundred tickets altogether, not less than a dozen. I would think nothing of a store that had 8 books of tickets, especially if it was in a slow area. I have been in this store three times, over the period of a couple months. The first time, I bought the last two tickets he had, in the entire store. Meaning tha

Florida Lottery Misprint Scratch Off
Hello All I am new to the board. My father, Joe Curcio was the guy who had the Gold Rush ticket that was a $500K winner, that the state of Florida claimed to be a misprint. We need some help or ideas to get a lawyer. We have tried so many in the years now and no one in Florida wants to go against the state. Everyone always tells us if we can get into court we will win no doubt, but so far we can't. Any ideas or suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance. Matt

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I don't think you can expect them to guarantee that they sell all tickets, the stores and the customers have to buy the tickets first. If the game is not selling well or is a poor game (like SFL was) then they should pull it. As long as the tickets and prizes they show are what would have been available from full sales, that is a true reflection of the game structure. If they advertise the odds and number of prizes accurately, I don't think that is false advertisement. Well, except for the in

Florida Lottery Misprint Scratch Off
I remember reading a story about a Florida ticket that appeared to be a jackpot winner but wasn't. If I recall correctly the number was suppose to be 13 because thirteen was printed below the number but the 3 wasn't there from either a misprint or because it was rubbed off. There was a picture of the ticket and the number 1 was offset as the first digit of a number in the teens. In some states the lotteries have ticket scanners that say if the ticket is a winner and I've seen players scan the

Have you or anyone you known tipped clerks that have helped you select a winning instant ticket?
I don't know if you just by some odd reason ended up on this page for your one and only post, or if you are another member in hiding, but I am glad you made your way to my thread, however you got here. Welcome to America. I would never routinely tip a clerk that I did not know. I certainly don't ask random clerks to share in my losses either. To expect either is just plain nonsense. It is like this: if you help me make money that I otherwise would not have made, and you do it on a routine basis,

Unclaimed jackpots from games that ended?
I really can't hold it in any longer, so I'll tell you. You have 3 options: 1. Someone threw it away. Yes I find a lot of winners in the trash. You could probably make a living just driving around going through the trash. 2. It was destroyed by the lottery. 3. It was never sent out. So for all the people up in arms about the 1 or 2 top prizes left for the games closing here you go: This is why it's illegal: To start off the lottery has to legally post the number of p

Sorry, I did not read this post before I responded to your next post. I will respond to it now, part by part, because you bring up a lot of good points. I can understand how you might feel that the book was not even distributed fairly, but its not always true that a decent winner is at the front/back of the book. For example, I have won $1,000 several times now and every one of them was in the middle of the book range. I have won $500 probably 15-20 times and the majority of them were #'d 10-
