I think your both on right ideas lol. But let this set in! GTECH the company who prints the tickets and has the database very clearly allows for a breakdown by pool number on the liablity reports. The lottery knows what is in each pool. The lottery divies the pool by districts. The lottery has full control over where books end up(well grainof salt on local level, but districts yes they have full control). Now the distribution of prizes on the ticket scale is more interesting. T

Last of the California Second Chance Jackpots
Okay, the lottery website added future pool drawings. So, my previous confusion is now moot.

Post your scratch ticket results
Today I bought the lottery tickets for my work pool and we had a flush instant win ($50) and a three of a kind instant win ($5) on five card cash. So I split up the $9 among 6 people and got an extra Mega Millions ticket for the pool. That was cool and we've been pretty lucky so hopefully we hit some numbers when the drawing comes. I also bought a $5 Bingo Multiplier (#49) which won $20 and a $2 Hit 20,000 (#52) which won $5. After getting beat up a little yesterday I think I got almost what I l

One Very Merry Xmas Eve.
As for how much I spent, it was nowhere near what I won. As for the football pool, here's how it works. There is a grid with 100 squares, 10 rows of 10 squares. Everyone puts in a set amount ($2 in the case of my work's pool.) Someone draws the numbers from 0-9 for both teams. If the numbers for each team match the last (ones) digit for the score at the end of each quarter, you take the money. For example, I had Steelers 3- Panthers 0, Steelers 8- Panthers 3, and Steelers 7- Panthers 0. For t

One Very Merry Xmas Eve.
I had one heck of a merry xmas eve. I got up at 10pm to find that I has won the first quarter of the Steelers-Panthers game on my work football pool, which paid out $25. At around 11, I was in the McDonald's drive-thru before I started my shift at work, listening to the game on the radio to find out I had won the third quarter on the pool as well (with a different square at that) and another $25. Anyway, while on my lunch at work, I got winners of $40 and $400 on instant tickets. And to top it o

Congrats on the hundo. I never really could play the crossword games as I never had the patience for them. I end up just scratching the bar code at the bottom and using the checker twice in case of malfunction. This is something a little off topic from the Florida Lottery, but it pertains to all lotteries. On an unrelated note due to distribution patterns of a $25 dollar ticket in my state I know what winning section the first top prize is in, however it's a 19,000 book range. I gu

"SuperBowl Pool" of Florida scrtach-offs
Hi... I'm new to Florida and new to this thread. Where I lived in the past, I did something that I'm considering doing here in Florida. I bought an entire book of scratch-offs (unopened, still sealed in the cellophane wrapper) and then I ran what I'd call a SuperBowl Pool by selling 100 squares in a 10 X 10 grid. As best I can recall, I sold each square for $5. (I did this so long ago that I forgot how I did it) Selling each square for $5 got me a total of $500, which paid me back for the bo
