I put $50 of my big wins from yesterday in the bank and spent more on groceries and things. Good idea, because today was more mundane. #7 and #13 Cash Fever were losers (I swear, #7 must be coded to lose.) I bought 3 Platinum Payouts and 2 won $20 (#10 and #27.) Money Money Money #41 lost, but no complaints after the big win. The surprise was winning $25 on #99 $1,000 A Week For Life. That game never has won that much for me.

I have never heard of a state where the terminal will ask the customer for the amount you think you have won in order to validate the ticket. In some states, if the amount won is over the amount the stores are allowed to cash, you may get a message such as Contact Lottery Office . You should report this to your state lottery regional office or headquarters and tell them exactly what happened. Although they may ot may not be able to do anyhting in your case, they do keep track of complaints

Good you reported that to Lottery HQ. It is spelled out in their retailer agreement which the store signed that they should have given cash for a true cash winner. Either the clerk was not aware of this or the store does this to sell more tickets. Most state lottery offices would followup with the store and although a single instance of this type would not get their lottery authorization yanked, continued incidents would. First off, welcome to lottery post... South Carolina has some really great games. Personally, I like $20 instants which they don't offer at this time; however, no complaints from me. I also like the fact that South Carolina has no problem releasing information like complete odds and how many instant tickets were printed for a specific game. The Jumbo Bucks tickets are also played in GA and TN and have been very popular in all three states.

Hopefully you spoke with the manager after that. Hopefully you called the state lottery to complain after that. When enough complaints pile up on those two things, something will be done.

You good scratcher fans encouraged me to go all out this year for Christmas. I bought 1 book of $30(#1891) and 1 book of $20(#1962) for the annual TN Christmas Scratch Fest (total of $900) .The Mrs took the even numbers and I was left with the odd...... IMO if what the District Mgr said to EMTAdam is true then the Lottery has committed an offense against the citizens of Fl and the Attorney General should be made aware and take action. For example, when a retailer commits price gouging action is taken quickly. I understand price gouging is relatively easy to prove but now we have a Lottery official admitting they indeed do know the jackpots are destroyed. Wow! Sorry to hear that Skeptic! FL lottery is really gashing you guys. I think you guys have more influence than you think. If everyone here cut back and the lurkers who just look at this page will notice the bad luck and not play either. I am proof. I vacationed in Florida and planned on buying some tickets. I only bought 2 because of reading your complaints. One won $40 the other nothing. I cashed in my $40 win and ran. I figured I was lucky and better quit. Good luck to you guys.
