Hey Ed, Those are interesting observations. Thanks for posting the book number of your big win. Honestly, the more I think about it the more I think book ranges should only be looked at to eliminate buying from rolls where we know jackpots have been found within a certain range. For example, there's still rolls of the World Class Cash game all over the place here in Gainesville in the 50k-90k range and since I remember seeing 4 jackpots pop up fairly quickly around that range I know the

Scaling back is a great idea. I've recently started my break from lotto. It seems the big winners can be anywhere. I bought a $10 Holiday and found $500 on a one and done out of a Publix machine. I've also bought rows of $20 tickets, and encountered numerous duds. $2 and $5 tickets can also have nice winners when they come up. I've been to the district office and seen people hit $1k on $2 tickets, and $5k or $10k on $5 tickets. That's actually a good return on a book of $20 tickets. The

I agree wholeheartedly. I see alot of break evens, maybe a $100 here or there. I won these $100 (back to back winners on ticket #3 and 4). Unfortunately, I lost all of the profits playing the $10 Holiday Gifts game. It is cool to see back to back winners. Around where I live, I keep hearing from mom/pop stores of people finding $1k, $5k, and even $10k winners. I would love to hit a $5k, or $10k prize on one of these tickets. These pictures are from a few weeks ago, or maybe a month back.

Dracos, I've had some luck with the $200MS. I've been having mixed luck with the $10 Holiday Gifts. I'll hit a hot part of the roll and get a $100 winner and some small wins. Then i'll buy more and get 9 out of 10 losers. At the end of the day, I'll go through 25 tickets on $100 (with reinvesting wins), but end up with nothing when its done. It's very hard to hit the $500+ prize levels. I'm starting to hit my end-game with scratch offs. The only two games I am going to focus on are the $20

It can also depend on the amount of tickets sold and the current rate of ticket sales, not just the number of top tier prizes remaining. Since CA lotto does not give as much detail on tickets sold as some other states, you can kind of guesstimate the number of tickets sold based on the number of $100 prizes claimed, and get an idea of rate of sales based on daily updates the top prizes report. Gatorsrok did they say when they got that roll? From what I read in the thread the hot rolls are the ones that were just released in the past 2 weeks did he have that roll just lying around? That's what worries me about the Lotto District Office. I know they have they'll have 100X tickets to the very end but their stock probably has tons and tons of old rolls. Which begs the question, did the lottery really release a $5M or even 1 of the supposed 7 remaining $1M secondary prizes? Or is tha

skeptic-thanks for your take on it. it truly seems like there are weeks when there are tons of HUNs and FHNs on Gold Rush here in the State Road 70 sector/Lakewood Ranch. There are also cold weeks. Certain places never pump out more than a 30-40 win or even a money back. Hate to say it but the places run by foreigners never ever seem to have winning tickets.
