Bought a ticket yesterday...two clerks in the same store weren't familiar with the raffle! What's that all about? How does it work? My ticket number was 144,5XX. I dunno... looks to me like The Florida Lottery has some work to do if they want to sell even a million tickets. G5

My state had a raffle last year. I enjoyed playing. If I was close to Florida. I would definitely buy a ticket. The live drawing seems good to. My state it was computer generated i think...I am confused by how many tickets they sell versus pay outs. Mabye I'm reading it wrong. But anyways.... Good luck if your playing. And have a great day!

I saw that there was a raffle but didn't know about the early bird options. No promotions about early bird, the ticket I got yesterday doesn't say anything about it either, typical MDLottery. So I got lucky buying early.

You either match the winning ticket number or you don't. Big deal. Granted, there are people out there afflicted with oneawayitis (two on this board, one from MD and one from GA), but that's their problem for being stupid. Good luck, GiveFive! With so few tickets sold, are you going to buy more? I'm shocked that the FL lottery wrote the raffle rules they way they did. Big player's advantage.

The current raffle is capped at 2,000,000 tickets. But ticket sales have been so slow since March 1st when tickets first went on sale, there's no way they'll ever sell 2,000,000. As of yesterday they've only sold about 337,000. The sales cycle ends on June 30th, so the odds of them selling out 2 million tickets have a snowball's chance in Hell. I also told him how raffle ticket sales have been very slow. I can't tell you what he actually said because Todd's software will snip it, but it was something along the lines of NO SHXX! . I'm guessing that The Fla Lottery wont post on their website how many raffle tickets were actually sold. So I came up with a crazy idea. There's a gas station not far from my house. I might run over there around 7/8 PM on June 30th and buy a ticket. Doing that won't reveal the total number of tickets that were actually sold, but it should reveal a pretty good approximation of total sales. I'll post the number here, if I actually do it. G5

They very well have misjudged how players are thinking these days. They do say that this particular raffle is a promotion which makes me think it's not going to be offered again anytime soon. If ticket sales don't materialize like they want/need, then I doubt they'll bring it back. For many players 20 bucks a pop is a tough sell. It is a very good thing from a players perspective. Where can players find lower odds to win a million dollars? Remains to be seen if there will be a last minute rush to buy raffle tickets. (Hope not!) June 30 is when ticket sales end. Final drawing for 10 one million dollar top prize winners is July 2nd. I have to believe the winning numbers will be generated by a computer. Just had a thought.... I really do hope I win a million bucks with one of those two extra raffle tickets I bought. That'd really twist some of those old fogies cajones real good if they knew I won a million using THEIR money. Hell, they couldn't stand it when they saw me puttin' those 40 singles I took outta the pot and put 'em in my pocket. Just think how they'd feel if they heard I put a million bucks in my bank account by using their Left Right Center money. G5
