Plans to amend Tennessee's lottery law are already in the works, less than six months after the Legislature authorized the games.Rep. Chris Newton, R-Benton, who sponsored the lottery legislation in the House last session, has filed a bill that would lower - to a 19 on the ACT college entrance exam, instead of the current 23 - home-schooled students' eligibility requirements for lottery-funded scholarships. The legislation will be considered when the General Assembly returns to session in January

The Kentucky Lottery Corp. has been hit with another lawsuit challenging its Extra Cash game and its advertising.Keith B. Hunter, former general counsel for the lottery, said he filed the suit last week after seeing a news report about another one filed early this year. Both his lawsuit and the one filed earlier by Ronald Hub, of Stanton, take issue with the wording in a lottery brochure, which was changed after Hub filed his lawsuit. The Minnesota Lottery will lay off 34 employees, nearly one-fifth of its workforce of 191, next month to meet state-imposed budget cuts. But the state-run gambling operation still projects a near-record year for sales because of changes in its popular multimillion-dollar Powerball game. Most of the job cuts will come from the lottery's marketing staff, including 16 positions in field offices in Eagan, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Marshall, Owatonna and Virginia, assistant director Geno Fragnito said

Ford plans dealer lottery for scarce GT supercar supply
Most Americans must win a lottery to afford a $100,000-plus Ford GT. Next year, many Ford dealers must win a lottery to sell one.Ford Division intends to produce just 1,500 GTs per year, but it has about 3,800 dealers in the United States.Top-rated dealers, winners of the annual President's Award in 2004, will get one GT to sell, the company says. The rest of the GTs will be distributed among high-volume dealers and to winners of a lottery.Typically, about 10 percent, or 380, dealers win the Pr

Challenge to Fellow LotteryPost Friends!!
I too have won more than I lost. I also have a lottery log. As far as writing a book on my system, I'm not quite sure. I have won quite a few times at 3/6 and 4/6. I picked 5/6 twice as well. All in NJ Pick 6. The winning combos were all based on MY complicated system. My system ... i wrote a # from 1 to 49 on 49 golf balls. i'd mix them up in a box. then i'd randomly pick a ball and drive it far as i can with my #3 wood. i'd do the same for the following 48 balls. i'd go onto the field

SandyK
Hi Paulette,Thanks for inquiring. I am doing fine. I've been really busy lately as I have a lot of work to do building strength. At one point in time at the start of my illness, I lost 100 lbs. and from that point on it sapped my energy. I am exactly where I want to be weight wise now, I just need to build some muscle. I do an hour and a half of exercising a day now alternating between aerobics and weights. The doctor will only let me lift 5 lbs. so I am not building any great muscle.....

full blue moon
Is there a Blue Moon Tuesday night? Let's clear this up YES. There IS a Blue Moon on Aug. 20. But wait, you say: Aren't Blue Moons the second full moon in a month? And isn t this the first full moon of August? Well, that two moons in a month rule is new and was never used by wise, old farmers. You see, there are usually three moons per season. Farmers named them to keep a sense of time throughout the year. The first summer moon was the early summer, then came the midsummer, and finally
