this should do the trick for checking straight and boxes for pick 4... again it is ONLY for backtesting, assumes columns D E F and G contain drawn digits 1 thru 4... if number was 6518...this checks for 1 straight hit and the 23 possible box combinations that remain AFTER the straight hit (24 combos total)D E F G6 | 5 | 1 | 8Also assumes your workout numbers start in column S...I will test this out with 1111 and 1231 over the holidays on the PA data I have...-------------------------------

To me, Excel is like an analog voltmeter and access is like a digital one... sometimes you need to see the rate of change, where excel is best, and sometimes you want the power of SQL, which you have in access... with access it's easy to update a drawing, when you create a query it automatically includes that update so you don't need to go through changing formulas or using macros to expand range names., but with excel you can make a quick visual scan to determine the success rate of backtesting

During backtesting, we look at snapshots of the conditions right before, during, and after the win came. When you look at the snapshots together, you'll see stats within stats that ultimately lead to creating strategies within your best strategies. Looking at stats within stats is almost like looking at a flip book. Imagine flipping through snapshots of the conditions right before, during, and after the win came to see what most will not see because they don't or can't see what you can see.

Just a little about me. The majority of the time I backtest way more than I post. So if I'm quiet, I'm backtesting. Right now like always I'm testing to reduce combos so we all can make more profit. I advise everyone who is starting out as a predictor to practice predicting with a lot of combos at first until you get great at winning within a specific range of drawings.
