There was an email circulating sometime ago saying that your chances of winning were better if you play when it's low because there wasn't as much competition. That of course isn't true, but it does reduce your chance of having to share. I think that logic is flawed since the higher the jackpot, the more there is to go around. I do agree with the idea of not playing calendar dates and other common sets of numbers because there will be serious sharing of the jackpot if one of those combos hit

As someone from the West Coast, I know I can bet that the would-be winner is someone from the East Coast, if not California.
