Why do we play?
Yes, for me it is better than Wall Street at least I know why my stock went down; I spent it and not a broker I don't really know. I like Thinking of myself as an Investor in Digits Stock!!

Random Lottery..Random Stock Market
I think in the rules it states whatever you buy the price is whatever it is at the end of the day. So if you purchase it at 1.00 in the morning and it goes to 7 bucks buy 4 Pm the price is 7 bucks not one dollar. So while in real life scenario it would be a bargain .... but for the game it's almost useless because you don't get the benefit of buying shares that will grow throughout the day. Unless of course the next day the stock goes up. You almost have to buy bargain shares today for tom

Young lottery winner discusses investment challenges
I sure would not invest anything in the stock market right now, with the way the economy is going. If I had a huge windfall, I would invest into property and lots of property. At least I could see my investment in property. I would be too afraid to invest in the stock market right now.

We are All Special: Words of Encouragement: Stock Market Vs. Lottery
A lot of people just aren't interested in playing the stock market. I am one of those people. Plus, I like to play the lottery for fun and I don't think playing the stock market would be fun.

Most lottery players never see big payoff
When I started my 401(k) I was making about $500 a week and had 10% ($50) deducted from my paycheck, but the difference in my take home pay was less than $50 because my tax base was lowered to $450. The plan allowed me to invest in almost any stock in the three major stock markets plus a large number of mutual funds. Money market funds were the safest investment but their yields were usually lower than the stocks offering dividends. I read an article by Warren Buffett that simply suggeste

The prediction software you've been waiting for?
I am quoting the article The software can handle data loads that would overwhelm human analysts, while dispassionately exploring actions and behaviors based solely on the data, sidestepping human cultural biases that might prematurely rule out unorthodox or seemingly bizarre courses of action. If they would only have a software like that for the Stock Market or the lottery but more the Stock Market...Not saying they shouldn't continue what they are doing...But i believe a computer could

Which way is better?
I think I agree with hypersonig. It's a lot like buying .....SHORT or LONG in the stock market. The stock is at say... 40.00 dollars a share and you bet it Short or to go down and you are right ! You can only make that much or you are limit down on that stock at best...... 40.00 per share. No place to go from there. But... If you buy Long and the stock is 40.00 per share.... it could be a young Microsoft ...LOL The up side has no Top.

Since we've had threads on winning billions
McDonald (MCD) is on the Big Board, New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Trading at about $48 or 49 per share. More than a billion shares outstanding, about 78% institution-owned. I track this stock on a daily basis. Bot some at $28.
