Yeah, most players (and lottery clerks too) aren't aware that if you pick one number the terminal will pick the other 4. If you pick 3, the terminal will pick 2 etc. It's been that way for a long time. The only thing you have to remember and must do is to color in the QP box in the panel on the playslip where you want the terminal to do a QP for you for the balance of the five numbers. If you don't do that, be prepared for the clerk to hand you back your playslip and say You have to pick 2 more

Yesterday I saw something at a local supermarket's customer service counter that caught my eye. I'd be plenty PO'd at myself too. For just one lousy dollar bill more, I could have had two million. I don't wanna be that guy. Then there's this too - When I play PB, I play three identical lines of five numbers. Each line on my ticket will have a different PB (Red Ball) number. The pay out would be six million minus the taxes if I hit only all five white ball numbers. If I happened to have matched the PB too, I'd win the jackpot with the other two lines kicking in an additional 4 million.

What matters is their profit margin. It really does seem like a lot of people just can't figure that out. After millions of people threw away $5 on the new game format, I wonder how many of them will come back for more punishment Most of them, I'd imagine. They're only doing it $2 at a time, but about twice as many people keep on doing it with PB tickets.
