Is mega millions worth playing anymore?
I'm sure nobody's tracking it precisely, but they can certainly tell a lot about buying patterns with the online games. Even if somebody uses 3 separate bet slips to buy 3 PB tickets it will normally be just one transaction on the terminal. Same thing when somebody buys a PB, and one ticket each for 2 different state games. When scratchers are scanned when they're sold (as opposed to each roll being activated) they'll also get a decent idea of what the typical player is doing. It may not give th

Playing recently drawn numbers to win a jackpot
When the rates of return started to decline for Ohio's Super Lotto years ago, it was discontinued. Let me guess, it was our wana-be-math teacher who brought up rate of return ? The rate of return on scratch-offs is much lower than the online games, but because of the volume of play, the profits in dollars for that game is higher than all the online games combined in almost every state lottery. The Kentucky Pick-3 game paid out 97% of their ticket sales to prizes in one month and that wil

$310 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot in rare territory
Ah, now I better comprehend what is going on. Sometimes one has to be around a bit before one understands the positions from which different individuals are speaking. Personally, I tend to ignore anything that refers to online lottery sales since Washington State prohibits online lottery ticket sales and Internet gambling. I have no idea how many other states do so as well.

Post your scratch ticket results
Anyone play the new $10 Fla Lotto Black ticket ? Maybe I got lucky but the machine broke down at publix and they already closed over the counter sales so i could not get them. checked the odds online and does not look good. another Color of Money - which was the worst $10 game ever imo There is a new $5 ticket out too. same old stuff though. wish they had some imagination over here and actually made a game which was different than the 100 other tickets out there. its become repetitive robb

State lotteries get creative to drive higher sales
The Arizona Lottery has spent four years ramping up efforts to get players to part with a dollar. It raised its average jackpot by 8 percent and introduced pricier scratch-off games that cost from $5 to $20 but yield bigger winnings, up to $1 million. The tickets now come in brighter colors on thicker paper, and more of them get displayed in bigger cases to catch the eyes of would-be winners lining up at grocery and convenience stores. The lottery also increased its advertising budget by roug

Regarding Lottery pools: What if you do this??Increase your Chances of Winning
I run a pool with my coworkers. We have 13 people in it and on payday(every other Friday), we each contribute $4. What I do is buy an assortment of multidraw Powerball and Lotto tickets that cover the next 4 drawings. If we win anything, we usually put it towards more Powerball or Lotto tickets. Both times when Louisiana had it's Millionaire Raffle game, I took a vote of the membership in regard to if we should keep buying more Powerball/Lotto or a Millionaire Raffle ticket and both times, the m

Question about "Click To Pay" online Transaction
He's looking to play Pick-3/4 online. The two you mentioned are for Jackpot games. The Lotter developed such a bad reputation for banking their own bets and paying a mere fraction of the prize they recently began buying actual tickets or at least they now claim to buy tickets. The Lotter has several lottery ticket sales sites under different names besides Lotter. Conga Lotto, never heard of them before, but there are many lottery ticket butler services out there. I would recommend U.

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
In that case it's obviously different, in that other games will always have tickets for sale until they close sales to hold the drawing. For games where there are a limited number of tickets (and that means every offline game as well as a few of the online games), it's a simple matter of first come first served. What difference does it make if a store sells 1000 tickets while they're still available, or prints some extras and sells 900 while tickets are still available online and 100 after the

New Florida Raffle
Tickets went on sale this morning and it looks as if over 10,000 were sold within the first couple of hours. I'm not sure what time the game went online. I thought sales would be a little slower now that the snowbirds have left. $20 is a lot of money for one ticket. The odds make it very tempting, although I don't know anyone who won even the $10,000 prize. This time they doubled the number of $10,000 winners.

$370 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
I read one where the small print said the largest payable prize was one million. Oh this was a reply to Jill I think. I thought i had quoted her about the online lottery ticket sales.
