Store owner jailed one year for stealing $5.7M lottery ticket
I wonder why the penalties for lottery related theft are so light. Surely he should have gotten more than one year in jail which he probably won't have to serve but a few months.

Store clerk gets prison term for Ohio lottery ticket theft
I just wonder if some of these weak sentences could have been turned to jail time early and then maybe this third theft would not have happened. Some folks just don't get it .

Pa. clerk stole $48K in lottery tickets
I guess some people just don't learn the lesson that CRIME DOES NOT PAY'. However, I want to know why it took the business owner so long to report this theft--someone should have caught her sooner if they had surveillance tapes running everyday.

Paul W. Lyle learned that he won the grand prize in a Kansas Lottery second-chance drawing at his preliminary hearing 11 days ago. Who owns what?
I'm not sure why some people consider finding some scratch-off tickets in the garbage theft? I suppose if it is a whole bunch of them and they haven't been scratched then I would probably contact the lottery offices to see what the deal is, but when did finding things in the garbage start making people thieves?
