Would you Win and Tell? * LP members
Welcome to Lottery Post and good luck! I'm not disagreeing or starting an argument, since we all have our opinions, but I want to reply to this comment since, after all, this forum is called a Lottery Discussion. Let's say I buy a Lotto ticket tonight, spend $3 and win $38 million. If I post it, anyone can look at the announcement on the FL site and see my name, age, city. You might ask so what? It just draws more attention to another 50,000 or so people who visit LP. Most people who read

SuperLotto Plus $90 million winner never played CA lottery before
...and bought 1 ticket. From CA Lottery website. 02.20.08 drawing. I am starting believe it is ALL luck. SACRAMENTO The first time was a charm for a lucky individual from Sonoma County who had never before played the California Lottery. The Petaluma woman unexpectedly learned of her $80 million dollar prize from last week s Wednesday drawing and is now making plans to help her kids and take her entire family on a vacation to Hawaii. While she understands the public s curiosity about her st

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
Let's change the subject for a minute, since this has been debated before, and the 2 sides will never agree. I'm sure everyone has heard of the show Deal or No Deal. It's a stupid show, and I'm surprised it's still on the air, but I've watched it anyway. Now it's the same ol', same ol' and it's totally boring. It's all luck..not even like Wheel of Fortune, since at least you have to know how to spell on that game! LOL Anyway, for those of you who have never seen it, there are 26 beautiful models

LP memebers random observations and "laws of lotto"
What have you observed about playing lotto? Share your observations and lotto corollaries here - not specific strategies like mixing up odd and even numbers, but things like: When you think all even numbers can't possibly hit another time, they do! System players will win on quick picks, and vice versa The pick 3 or 4 you have a strong hunch about and are going to play for the evening draw has hit mid-day, inknownto you.

Most lottery players never see big payoff
Where does the money come from to pay you 4 or 5%? What is your rate of return if you are paid 4 or 5% nominal return, while actual inflation (loss of purchasing power) is 8%? Here's a hint, it's less than zero. Now, many people buy the big lie about how purchasing the Dow 30 components in some given year and holding on over so many years would return so much percent. This is garbage. When a Dow company falls on hard times, it gets taken out of the index and replaced with a successful c

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
For one thing, my average play is $1 a draw, maybe $2 or more if the jackpot is up (Little Lotto had been over $1,000,000, not bad for a Pick 5 game), so I'm not about to go dollar-for-dollar with anyone who wheels numbers. In your post with the scanned tickets, if I'm reading it right, you're showing $50 worth of play for one day. You talk of winning $22. I don't see any winnng in that whatsoever. I do see a bookie's wet dream. I'll also venture that if you're playing $50 a pop all $22

Mistory - Continue doing what you have been..............please?! The numbers are universal and does not distinguish between, who's paper and pencil method got the number, whose quick pick, or whose program. The tools that Todd has on this very website (premium membership) will give you the same information that LotSoft and other programs will give. Plenty of us on here will have the same info if we are right about the hit and that's what we want.......to get $$$$$$$$$$$$. Would we rath

Is it worth buying a large number of tickets once a year?
It depends on whether or not you play for the fun, the challenge and if you have a system. If you buy numbers well in advance of the drawing that would mean you aren't choosing numbers based on recent information, such as previous draws. I play several combinations, so I would never want to invest that much money all at once. I would only buy advanced plays if I plan to be away or very busy for a long time and might miss a drawing. There is a small disadvantage to getting advance plays,

Stupid Question-Quick picks VS Your Own #'s
Over the years the various lotteries have at times said the ratio of quick pick winners to those winners who select their own numbers is the same. They have no way to break out those who play birthday numbers from those using a system. Your best bet is to eliminate about a dozen numbers and put all the rest into play even if that means a 2if6 wheel or a 3if6 wheel taken to 90% coverage as closing that last 10% can take more combinations then the 90%. If using a commercial wheel look t
