When I think a number will repeat from the day prior, I typically put the last draw in the isolate input. Dummy, Dummy, me never changed the rundown input to last nights 701. Although I've never refused a ticket that was created in error, it's my understanding (but I dont have any proof of it) that if the customer refuses the ticket, the cashier has three choices. Also, I've never had a conversation with any clerk in any store as to what their options are when a ticket is created in error.
