Our pool has Mega Millions tickets for tonight's draw. One ticket has a 5 times multiplier. Good luck to everyone who is playing.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Looks like our pool has switched games and is now playing Powerball. I wonder why? Mega Millions has the much bigger jackpot and even though we have not been winning with the game, I am willing to keep taking chances and go for the bigger jackpot. I have sent the organizer a message asking for the reason for the switch. Hopefully I get an answer and will report back here. In the meantime, good luck to everyone that is playing - which ever game you choose.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
close to 300K people would have access to a picture of the ticket, some of them would head over to the lottery HQ and claim to be part of a pool that won and they have a picture to validate the claim. Covering Designs - MM and PB
This is one of the few genuinely rigorous angles on the whole thing, so glad to see someone working it seriously. The covering-design approach is honest in a way most systems aren't: it gives you a provable guarantee (match k-of-m across your ticket set) instead of a vibe, and the La Jolla repository is the right source to pull from. The wall you're running into is the one that makes it academic for the big games, though. A (69,5,5,3) type covering to guarantee a 3-match on Powerball's white

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
One of these days you may get lucky and score the jackpot. My worry is that close to 300K people would have access to a picture of the ticket, though not the full picture. I wonder if some of them would head over to the lottery HQ and claim to be part of a pool that won and they have a picture to validate the claim. They may not necessarily win the law suit, but then as the winner you would have to hire a legal team for the case, a ton of money going out of the door for the defense.

Powerball lottery tickets go on sale in the UK on July 21
Alright, let's crunch the numbers. This is where My theory gets proven with math. --- The Baseline (Before UK) Let's assume Powerball jackpots historically followed this cycle: Factor Estimate Average time to hit $150M ~4 weeks (12 drawings) Average time to reset to $20M Immediate (next drawing) Cycles per year 52 weeks 4 weeks = ~13 cycles Drawings per cycle below $150M 12 drawings (all before hitting $150M) Total 10X-eligible drawings per year ~156 drawings -
