Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Your pool can buy more tickets with PB.
The whole point of a pool is to maximize your chances of winning in exchange for winning only a portion of a multi-million dollar jackpot.
If you want to play MM, throw away the $5 on your own. In the incredibly unlikely chance you win, you get all of it for yourself. No one else in the pool could sue you for a share of the winnings if the pool only plays PB and you played MM.

suppose you won a $1000 lottery gift card promotion
I would try to sell the gift card to our lotto pool manager. This would give me enough money to join every pool for the next 10 years.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Good news and good news.
The first good news is the pool finally won something in yesterday's Powerball. Switching to Powerball was good luck after the big Mega Millions loosing streak.
The other good news is the pool plans to buy tickets for both Mega Millions and Powerball. The pool organizer must have also received questions from other members questioning the dropping of Mega Millions.
With two games in play, this doubles our chances of winning.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Keep hope alive. If I won something, the pool can win something soon as well.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Our pool also did not win anything in yesterday's draw.
We have tickets for the next Mega Millions draw. One ticket has a 4 times multiplier.
I am hoping the pool manager can buy Powerball tickets in UK giving us a chance to win the jackpot with no taxes to pay. That will make for a huge payout.

Update on 3 years of pick 10 NY
so I won no money today but I'm posting the results of two games on my five dollar ticket where I had five numbers and five numbers one short at least getting $10 but if you take the time to look at it which you don't have to do I'll explain my system as I go along ,the pool of numbers that I pick from the three dollar quick pick pick 10 really gave me a boost besides my pics which are the usual repeat numbers, hot numbers and a cold number so when I'm getting to is, there's a big pool of number

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The pool manager got back to me with an explanation, and I quote:
When both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are both large enough , the decision on which game to play is based on which of the two games presents the best expected value given the current size of the jackpots. In this case, Powerball clearly presents the higher value.
I guess that makes sense. Winning $4 million is clearly life changing. But winning an additional $2 million does not make much more of a differenc

How do you actually pick your numbers?
Frequency, Last draw hit status-is it a repeat, connector or double connector (within 2). Last but not least. Ranking...Each number is assigned a ranking for thier individual count pool...Which ever ranking is over due. That's the play most of the time.

Sum-range distribution across PB / MM / new MFL game — comparing the curves
Following up on my own post with actual figures since the raw curves are more interesting than I made them sound. On MFL the bulk of draws are landing in roughly the 120-175 sum band - tighter than I expected for a 1-58 pool. If anyone plays sum filters, would you cut everything outside that, or is two-and-a-half months of data way too thin to trust a band yet? Genuinely torn on whether it's signal or just small-sample.
