Tenn. lottery chief keeping mum about several key questions
Tennessee lottery CEO Rebecca Paul is keeping quiet on several significant lottery issues, including why she wants to contract with a single vendor for lottery goods and supplies instead of splitting up the business among several vendors. In an interview with The Tennessean earlier this week, Paul was questioned about language in the request for proposal (RFP) sent to vendors stating that it is the desire of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp. to select a single vendor able to provide a compreh

how about a spam forum - or a com.
dvdiva,If there's some spam on this forum that I've missed, please let me know. As a rule, I don't allow spam of any kind.If people want to advertise on Lottery Post, they can contact me to submit a proposal. Bill Clabough of Maryville said the partnership would undermine public trust by ignoring a law requiring competitive bidding.Under consideration is a plan for the two states to share in major lottery vendor contracts.Clabough said the Legislature has clearly stated that such major contracts should be awarded based on competitive bids.Tennessee lottery officials have said they hope to mak

Lottery Vendors Object to Tenn.-Georgia Partnership
Private lottery vendors say a proposed partnership between the Tennessee and Georgia lotteries would be unfair, expensive, and would hurt Tennessee. The vendors sent a letter to the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation last week, pointing out the risks of such an alliance. The vendors include Creative Games International, Intralot USA, Pollard Banknote and Oberthur Gaming Technologies. The four lottery companies, who have an interest in bidding for the Tennessee contracts, say a Georgia partner

72 win $100,000
No I don't think they would of sold that many tickets. Not 120,000,000. Listen to my proposal. The Jackpot increased $65,000,000....the amount that was put into the prize pool would be about half of that which is about 33,000,000. They had about 24 million in prizes. So 33 + 24 million is 55. The lotteries take 50% so double that amount and you get about 110,000,000....well i guess your number was pretty close. But aren't there 120,000,000 combos in this game. So they probably sold almos

minor criticism: Mega Millions
IMHO, Massachusetts should drop BOTH its 6/42 and 6/49 games and replace them with a 6/48 game for an unrelated reason: Both the 6/42 and 6/49 are ANNUITY ONLY (of course the 6/48 proposal would have a cash option.) I would expand the 5/35 Mass Cash to at least four drawings per week. As for 1/2 million prizes in pick-5 games, I don't think that's the real purpose of those games. They were invented to give players a better chance of winning the top prize, and, often, they pay better for a less-t

Great article about 1980 Pennsylvania rigging
Dear RJOh: Well, my proposal would give you a MUCH BETTER chance to win $5 than the OH 6/49 or the 6/51 Mich. Millions. The current PA game usually pays just $2 for a three-number match...and remember the Super-6 automatic quick-picks! (I don't mind getting an automatic quick pick as a _prize_; example: NY Take Five, but it isn't quite fair to have to BUY the ticket and not be able to select all your numbers.) Super-6 Lotto will soon be three years old-PA just didn't think this concept out v

Will R.I. Lottery win or lose in $1 billion IGT contract battle?
Is it a wise move that would keep more than 1,000 high-paying jobs in Rhode Island or just the latest example of a you gotta know a guy back-room deal? Is the lottery giant IGT as Rhode Island as Del's lemonade or as British as Big Ben? In short, is the proposed no-bid, $1-billion, 20-year extension of IGT's current 20-year gambling technology contract a solid win for the Rhode Island economy or an ill-advised sweetheart deal ? As state lawmakers prepare to review the proposal this fall
