Just somethiing to think about. If some lottery money goes towards education why when it's back to school time do schools ask for donations of school supplies? In stores that sell school supplies individual teachers even post lists of what they'd like donated.

I also would have saved some money for a rainy day. There are companies that have existed for over 100 years that just went bankrupt recently. If I were a PCH winner I would have thought, If PCH ever goes bankrupt will I be in financial ruin? And saved some money.

When Gawlitza was behind the counter, why didn't he just put the money in the register and take the ticket? The ticket was already printed and Circle K now has the money. If he was concerned about cashing it since he was an employee he could have asked someone else to cash it for him. He didn't need to change into civilian clothing or even disclose that it was he that purchased the ticket.
