Idaho Raffle Adds Instant Win Component
They've been trying for years to get people to buy tickets earlier. This year they're offering a $5,000 prize (awarded in a drawing) to someone who buys a ticket in the first 10 days. And they are giving an instant $1,000 prize to the person who buys each 25,000th ticket. I coulda sworn there used to be a two or four $25,000 prizes, but none this year. I don't know what the trick is in PA but I do know that for the past few months it's exactly what omiller described. The wins on just $5's used to be so much better. It wasn't impossible to do well on $5 tickets...$20's, $50's and $100's were almost common...now that common has been replaced with $0's and $5's. 20x the Money tickets give $5 wins all the time...it's hard to find anything better than that. $5 Big Money tickets are no better.
