It sounds like you're talking about playing the lottery over the internet in one of those syndicates offered on a website. I am guessing that because the word syndicate is really only used overseas. In Texas and around the US, playing with a group is called a pool , not a syndicate. So I would caution you about playing on a website, especially when you are playing in one of these syndicates . They are not something setup by the lottery it is created by the person or company that runs the webs

In National Lottery, 1 in 4 of lottery jackpots are claimed by lottery syndicates. 75% are still claimed by individuals. But since lottery syndicate are made of several individuals, I guess more individuals Win in a lottery syndicate. In UK, all winnings can be collected only by one individual. It is up to that individual to distribute winnings n a lottery syndicate.

I am always very suspicious of anyone whose first post is about a syndicate. If you would like to point me to a news story showing a grand prize winner of one of your pyramid-scheme syndicates , I'd love to see it. There is one I have had good luck with. The syndicate plays a variety of games in the US, Canada and Britain. I do not think I can post links but the syndicate is easy to find with a search. Search for mario's lottery groups.
