Lottery ticket sold in Illinois wins $560 million Mega Millions jackpot
or the lump-sum estimated cash value of $264 million Based on reported sales that seems unlikely to be an accurate estimate. The first worksheet on the TX lottery website reported sales of $43 million and a cash value increase of $17.6 million to $258.4 million. The next worksheet forecast sales about 7% higher, which would fund an increase of $18.8 million, to $259.6. The website that can't be named reports sales of $46.44 million which would make it $259.8 million. This was yet another ja

Michigan lottery fixed?
I think its all rigged. My state started computer draws a year or so ago. Every week they post who won. They call it this weeks winners. Apparently no one ever wins pick 4 anymore. And all the other games seem to go in rotation. One week 7-8 Keno winners prizes range around 10k. Then the next week it will be the computer horse racing game. Around the same amount of winners around the same amount of prizes. Then the week after pick 5. But mysteriously someone around the same area. Around that same

Someone needs to console me now...
To those of us who buy only one ticket a drawing, you should read this news extract from the winner of the Oregon Powerball Jackpot. Before buying the Powerball ticket, Saephan said he wrote out each number between one and 69 on a piece of paper and slept with it for two weeks in hopes the winning number would come to him. He and Chao bought 20 tickets together, and Saephan got an additional 40 to 60 tickets for himself. On the morning of the drawing, Saephan said he woke up to a p

Oregon woman who doesn't check lottery tickets wins $1 million in raffle
I had no idea I was the winner, Carr told the Lottery. If it weren't for the billion-dollar Powerball winner making news, I would have forgot. We don't check our tickets. That right there is just a lot of B.S. So why buy a container full of tickets if you don't plan to check them. One can as well buy the ticket and toss it in the trash can on their way out of the store - the difference is the same. People should just win and quit making sensational stories after the fact - ooh I don

When is the right time to hang your lottery boots?
You are welcome. Definitely when playing the lottery stops being fun one should indeed take a break. I have a main job and a side hustle - I only buy my tickets with the cash from the side gig. So I am still in but only at one ticket a draw. There are times when the jackpots were this high that I would do five tickets or more a drawing - I never won anything, so I figured out that one ticket is just as good as ten Got my PB and MM tickets ready with the extra buck on each. O

Wusonglin - this is how week one went down.

I will change the way I buy Cash4life tickets. | Lottery Post https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/347526 I promised that I will do an experiment and pursue a new way of play. Buy two lines of Cash 4 Life, where I live we have Lucky 4 Life Instead, for a 5 day multi draw - Monday through Friday - for 20 bucks and see how it goes. Well, here is how week one went My $20 bucks w

Pennsylvania: 10/1 - 10/31/2023
I stumbled across a betting technique that's put a smile on my face but not in the way you'd expect. Might be a fluke, but I thought I'd pass it along here in case somebody else wants to try it. Find one of the full service lottery vending machines that prints out Fast Play and draw game tickets. You'll want something in a not-too-busy store because you'll be on the machine for a couple minutes. I fill out my betting slips in advance and put a couple dollars more in the machine than the bet

$1.55 BILLION: Powerball continues historic jackpot climb
I have my story, just polishing on the finer details, it goes something like this. I ran out of gas on my way to see and console a friend who just lost their pet rabbit, it was swooped by an eagle while running around on the backyard, I pulled into a gas station to fill my tank. While there I saw the jackpot amount and it said 1.5B. It's been 1 year and 5 months since I last played any lottery, that's 1.5 years. I thought, this must be a sign from the universe, so how about I just grab a pow

thoughts on lottery syndicates
......gonna need a lot more than that, That made me laugh for no apparent reason it's a valid point - but again it only takes one ticket to win. If they buy just the $2 with no powerplay or double chance if available, then that 20*2 = $40 every draw. I would be interested to know how many members are in the syndicate and how much they contribute. For some silly reasons I have always had the notion that lottery syndicates not the office ones buy like $10,000 or more worth of tick

New Jersey Lottery will begin selling tickets online
I have a huge s--t eating grin reading this just now. Todd Kate...thought of you guys IMMEDIATELY and perhaps all your stories about buying on-line in other states woke them up a bit. That is a myth that brick and mortar stores will suffer. Like I've said for years in Kentucky you can't buy the same type of scratch tickets like in the store, they have totally different ones for that. When other states see how much the consumers LIKE this convenience they may too adopt t
