Lottery-winner secrecy bill dies in Idaho Senate
An Idaho Senate panel has killed legislation that would have allowed lottery winners to hide their identities.

While the bill would have allowed winners to give written authorization to the lottery to publicize their names, the proposal also prevented those names from being released under public records requests for six months after the pr

Alabama lawmakers weigh in on lottery
All these Representatives Squabbling over what they think. I think they need to get out in the real world and see what's happening.
It seems by some of their answers, that they have forgotten who they work for. All of you were elected BY THE PEOPLE not by yourself.
If the majority of voters want a say in their State, then get off your Arses and get it out to the voters. You can squabble like little children
after the Proposal wins/loses. Open your mouths for the people who elected you i

A state lottery could help Alabama get its financial house in order
Fifty years ago, lotteries were illegal in every state, but they have proven so lucrative and politically irresistible that 44 states have since started selling tickets to the lottery. In 2013, state-run lotteries brought in $62 billion, which amounts to $257 in sales to every adult in the nation.
Six stubborn holdouts remain. Alaska and Hawaii are isolated enough that they do not feel pressured by sales from their neighbors. Nevada and Mississippi have gambling lobbies that don't want a stat

Bill would allow Texas Lottery winners to pay for anonymity
For those of you that have not read this article(Have posted it before), it is from an Attorney out of Dallas. His name is Jim Ross and he claimed a $35 million dollar jackpot for people who won the MM back in 2011. Not a bad read and may provide some insight.

I am not a fan of this 5% proposal at all. If it was $10-$20,000,that would be a consideration(IMHO). Typical government official trying to get more out of peoples wallet

Monopoly Millionaires game
And can you imagine the rollovers? Would likely increase at the same rate but since they would be starting at one it could take 5 or more draws just to get to 10 prizes. Not to mention it would take longer to reach the jackpot cap. Players already complaining how it increases too slow. This is a disaster just waiting. I have no idea who feeds these guys their ideas. Someone who doesn't understand economics I guess. You can only put so much lipstick on a pig.
