I have a question
I knew that someone would try to impose some kind of mathematical formular to prove my statements untrue. Well, your math doesn't add up. A good RNG would not place four 16s, five 24s, and four 42s on one set of five lines, and do that same kind of grouping on at least every other ticket. (A ticket being made up of five lines.) You tried to prove something that I did not assert. Please read my post again, and note that I said nothing about similar numbers being grouped together .

Potential Reoccurrence Probability
I totally agree that there is no equation (that is related to probability) that will predict and pinpoint the very next lottery number to be selected. Probability is closely tied to combinatorics. Odds and probabilities are calculations that are based on the combinations permutations that one is playing or measuring against the total amount of possibilities. Probability formulas always refer to these elements in one way or another. Perhaps the real problem isn't the use of mathematics

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
It depends on what you mean by a long string of low level wins and a large jackpot. There are several ways to interpret your question, and I will give you just one based on recent events. Between April 21 and August 1 of this year, we had a string of runs in which the jackpot never passed $100M in advertised annuity value. The lengths of the runs in this period were 8 (about average) followed by below average length runs of 5, 4, 3, 6 and 4 draws. Working from my modeling program,

Idea for pick3 strategy....
Quote: Originally posted by xavier102772 on May 11, 2005I like Jag's probability analysis on the pick3 pairs, although not complete, still very intuitive. It's unfortunate in Canada we can't play pairs otherwise an excellent strategy could be employed here. I'll have to look into it a bit or someone else may want to look into it further, but I would think that if you chose a set of pairs like Genius has in his post, say 16 pairs, 8 front and 8 back. Then wait until the Standard Deviation of sk

I might have given you the impression that I know something you dont, but something you badly want therefore I enjoy torturing you. Thats not the truth. I dont care how people feel. Virginia: 8/1 - 8/31/2021
Last October, I posted a chart showing all the Virginia draw history deflated. At the time, two combos 134 and 567 - were well ahead of the next most-drawn combo. My plan was to wait a year and update that chart and see what had happened. Last night, when I saw yet another combo of 134 drawn, I decided to do the update right now. I posted the update chart CLICK HERE in a new thread. The quick and dirty is that the two hot combos have continued to be hot to the point that they are pulling further

NCEL is a joke now days people. I NEVER thought I would say this, but I want Alice back, but she apparently had to go because she ran out of rigging ideas. I have NEVER seen so many pathetic payouts (below 100k), repeat sums, repeats, repeat sums, lack of triples (avg. in most state lotteries is 2-3 a MONTH) in the history of this lottery and especially since Mafia Mark took over! Friday, Nov 16 - 5 9 8 S22 - 971 winners won a total of $97,968 3 9 0 S12 1,247 winners won a total of $

Cycles - Interesting Numbers
Thanks BobP, Odds are meant to be broken No they are not the most repeated numbers, been down that road and can calculate that easily enough. But even if you played the most popular 22 from 45 it would not give you the winning number hit rate or frequency that I seem to be achieving at the moment. Still running this in a modeling mode to double check all my data inputs and ensure no outcome contamination to the results. Blind testing against historical data sets for various game type

Are repeat Wisconsin Lottery winners playing fair?
Since 2009, Khalil Audi of Cudahy has cashed in lottery tickets 33 times to the tune of about $80,000. His $10,000 win from Badger Cash Blowout? A one-in-72,000 chance. When he bought a $30 Super Millions scratch-off ticket, he had a one-in-200,000 shot of winning $5,000 the same odds as giving birth to conjoined twins. But that ticket was also a winner. Audi's success is surprising, but he is not the luckiest person in Wisconsin. According to Wisconsin Lottery data obtained by Gamin

KENO : How to configure your keno way tickets by LV Author & Expert
If I want to know what the odds are for how frequently pairs of numbers appear in winning drawing I use the following math: Calculate the combinations of all pairs of numbers. For an 80 digits game that would be 3,160 different pairs. Calculate the combinations of pairs in the winning set of numbers. For a 20 pick game that would be 190. Divide the total combinations by the winning combinations: 3160/190 = 16.63 which means that we can expect pairs of numbers to appear about on
