Jade, I am a bit uncertain of your recent graph your ratio's which are completely different from the current Annuity vs Cash ratio for the next draw. Recent ratios are hovering around 46.1 - 46.5 % fairly consistently. $503 Annuity vs 302 Cash = 60.03% $474 Annuity vs 219.4 Cash = 46.28% Using $503 Annuity figure at the current 46.28% = $232.78 Cash not $302 Can you explain this for my understanding ?? please and thanks

HLK.....Perhaps you take the annuity and for the first year pay your 6% . Then move to CA for the remaining 29 payments. That first annuity payment of $27M isn't anything to snicker about BUT will always be your lowest tax payout.

I agree I think it's going to end up between 1.45 and 1.5 tonight. The worksheet is reporting a supported annuity of 1.411, and I'd imagine they're still being deliberately conservative, so 1.45 seems likely to be close to the least we should be expecting. The cash value is only running at 10% of what it would be when it was at $2.00 a line. 90% of all other cash jackpots were much higher by this time in the jackpot run. This may be reflective of this poll where nearly 60% are not playing. Has nothing to do with the price of the game. Cash v. Annuity value only depends on the expected return of US 30-yr bonds. Yep it's not even a top 25 jackpot per the cash value. What really matters is that the advertised annuity is #23 but the cash that a winner will almost certainly take is only #37. It will not go above $10 Mil until the cash value can support the annuity value. We can see the last go around, the change in cash was below $5 Mil and the annuity remained constant for the first 6 drawing changes. Once the change in cash goes above $5 Mil, the change in annuity should go above $10 Mil.

I don't look at the worksheets enough to notice usually but they increased the annuity and the estimated sales but the cash is still listed the same as before at $498. Any idea why? I don't know for a fact what management thinks, but the worksheet still shows the estimated, and advertised, and the cash value is the cash (prize) that would be needed to buy the annuity if the annuity was being bought. That it also shows the expected sales and he annuity that could be bought with all the cash
