Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Article from my hometown newspaper. The AMPM who sold the 2nd prize PB ticket for $`1.3M will get $6,600 for selling it,

Powerball drawing produces huge number of big winners, including two who split the jackpot
It's interesting that states may have to put some thought in how they arrange numbers on their play slips to eliminate pattern selections if they don't have in place rules protecting themselves with parimutuel payouts for large payouts.
I kind of remember Texas All or Nothing https://www.lotterypost.com/news/262005 having similar issues where they needed to add parimutuel to the rules for large payouts. Even though the article does not mention it I believe their play slips allowed you to sel

Powerball drawing produces huge number of big winners, including two who split the jackpot
Mentioning a conspiracy while claiming no conspiracy is just pure irony.
If you'd spent enough time on the website you'd have seen dozens of them every time jackpot gets big. Just recently with someone claiming all the jackpots coming from one county in Michigan.
I agree with you on one thing. There has never been so many second tier winners on a small jackpot. And if you'd read the article you'd understand the reason behind it. It's the way the playslips are for a lot of the states.

$110,000 Michigan Lottery Fantasy 5 Double Play winner has one month left to claim
Why? Do you think they collect the winnings personally?
It says in the article that unclaimed prizes goes to the public schools.
I think that unclaimed prizes should be returned to the players (a bonus drawing or something). But it's the state, so of course they keep it.

Once homeless, now a lottery winner: Colorado man gets his $1 million comeback
Did you even read the article?
What does it have to do with chinese food?
As Brock Lee mentioned, it was a scratcher not a draw game.
Scratching my head over this reply though,

Winner of $877,800 Idaho Cash jackpot is infamous bulk buyer
Trump is a billionaire - he doesn't need to buy lottery tickets.
Also he's president of the US and it is state law that applies here not national law. Read the entire article that indicates that at least some states are doing something about bulk purchases.
In that vein, This has been going on for a spell and Sleepy Joe Biden and Kamala the Drunk did nothing.

New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
I'm talking about the 1 in 1.2T odds mentioned in the article specifically which is independent of how much you play.
You can play a 100 or 1000 games, the odds above are not going to change since odds of winning those big prizes are calculated based solely on odds of each of those two games. On the other hand, the more you play the more chances you have of winning something which is common sense and you can't combine both.
I don't know how else to explain it further.

Three $1 million winning Powerball lottery tickets sold at the same New York store
I went back an re-read the article......
New York State Gaming Commission spokesman Lee Park told The Post that the identity of the ticketholder, or ticketholders, is unknown since none of the three $1 million winning tickets have been claimed yet.
So there's the answer to my question. G5

New Millionaire for Life multi-state game coming in 2026
Headache somewhat gone so reread the article. Totally missed the million dollars/life sentence.
My understanding is the LFL from CT is RNG, while C4L from NJ is still mechanical ball drawings, correct?
With the $5 Mega Millions ticket with fast increasing jackpots (allegedly) and this one fixed @ a million and terrible odds don't foresee this as a feasible lottery.

$2 mistake turns into $150,000 Pick 5 lottery prize for Maryland player
That's not the same as the one referenced in the article. The MD accidental winner's was 2-0-2- 5-0 .
Today's number in Delaware was 2-0-2- 0-5 .
And why limit ourselves to those 7 jurisdictions? Does this magical combination dislike latitudes higher than PA and time zones not Eastern?
