I have 4 Michigan Super raffle tickets :) looking forward to the drawing in a couple weeks. Looks like we are going to have a little break on the odds since most likely this will not be a sell out with such slow sales. I also have 10 Idaho holiday raffle tickets. And after spending the day in Yellowstone I am currently in Montana ready to buy my Raffle tickets first thing in the morning before they sell out. Good luck everyone on your raffle purchases Cheers!

True, but not really a holiday raffle game. (Which is why it's not in this story.) The drawing for Super Raffle 2025 is November 19. There are currently just over 162,000 tickets remaining.

New Yorkers do play raffle games... except they do it in Pennsylvania. New York's border state of Pennsylvania has been holding their Millionaire Raffle for more than the last 20 consecutive years. They sell just 500,00 tickets, ($20 each) tickets sales run from November 4, 2025 to January 3, 2025. Odds are 125,000 to 1 to win one million dollars due to the fact they award four one million dollar prizes. I can't ever recall a Millionaire Raffle drawing where they didn't sell all 500,000

Looks like the last Raffles were in 2016 and 2017. Go to the lottery homepage, navigate to Media Resources/ Annual Reports and have a look at the sales graphs. 2007 was the year with the highest Raffle sales of any year that had a Raffle. I still think it was the drop in scratch-off sales in '24 that sparked this year's Raffle. Guess they miscalculated the players' willingness to drop $20 per play.

Does anyone know when the last millionaire raffle was held? I moved to Florida in 2020 and this raffle is the first one I've seen. I doubt anybody but the Florida Lottery knows if there was a ticket buying frenzy toward the back end of the sales cycle for the previous raffle. I'm looking forward to seeing the ticket sales number as of tomorrow posted on the lottery's website. Hoping we see a number in the range of 318,000 to 321,000. G5

Let's work this one from the back end. 640900 tickets need to be sold just to fund all prizes (so, does not includes costs incurred by the Lottery to set up the Raffle, or associated advertising, and does not include funding for education, which is the Lottery's raison d'etre.) 640900 minus 263272 leaves 377628 tickets needing to be sold by June 30, the last day to buy tickets (40 days from now.) 377628 divided by 40 equals an average of 9440 tickets need to

Well, without putting it quite like that, I don't understand why every lottery doesn't have a holiday raffle every year. For example, my home state of New Jersey has the raffle one year and then doesn't have it again for several more years. Yet, it sells out every time they do have it. I wish state lotteries would explain themselves for the obvious money left on the table. At the same time, hats off to Pennsylvania, which in my view has the perfect raffle every year.

I too have had 'trouble' with what's being argued so passionately in this thread. When I lived in the Northeast, although I lived in New York State, I lived in close proximity to Pennsylvania. Every Fall The PA Lottery (for what I'm guessing is the last 20 years or more) holds their Millionaire Raffle. According to the raffles official rules, a maximum of 500,000 tickets can be sold. A raffle is not much different than a scratch off ticket. The difference is that you have to wait for the drawing in a raffle whereas a scratch off ticket you can find out immediately. In both cases you don't choose the ticket sequence number (basically the determinant of winners) and in both cases the payback percentage is higher than draw games (generally speaking).
